An 18th or early 19th Century "Amsterdam" drop dial wall clock, the hood with arched glazed door flanked by half-cut pilasters, the movement with painted arched dial, the arch depicting figures before a castle over a chapter ring painted with Roman and Arabic numerals, with applied pressed brass spandrels emblematic of The Four Seasons, the hood surmounted by three carved figures of Atlas and two angels upon balls CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, discolouration, staining, fading to the wood. Accretions, build up of dirt and dust in numerous areas. flaking to the paint where the columns on either side of the hood have been ebonised. On the actual clock face there are areas of paint missing, some fading and discolouration. The metal figural decorations in the corners of the face are slightly tarnished and grubby. There is also a split to one of them. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details.
