Victorian Period - Twin Handle Rectangular Shaped Shop Display Oak Cabinet For Cigars ( Table Top ) The Front Glass Panels to Door Opens to Reveal 3 Ornate Brass Handle Pull out Drawers with Brass Carrying Handles to Sides of Cabinet. The Whole Making a Wonderful Period Cabinet, with Superb Patina and All Aspects of Condition Excellent. An original early 20th Century British Railways guards headlamp / signalling lamp. The lamp of cylindrical form having a round bevelled rotating glass windows to the front and carry handle to the top and back. Retaining the original red and blue lenses behind the hinged door. Embossed BR to the side. Good example
Attributed to Paul Matt for Brynmawr Furniture Makers - An oak cabinet bookcase or sideboard with a break-fronted upper section with central panel fronted fall, with alcove to either side, fitted below with a further fall front cabinet with a single door cupboard at either side, the faceted door knobs attached with tenon joints, raised to square legs, height 127cm, width 118cm and depth 47cm, S/D.
Unknown - Two late 19th Century frosted glass door panels, the first with Prince of Wales feathers, with fruiting vines to the corners, 98cm x 39.5cm, the other with a scrolling foliage frosted panel, the central roundel issuing meandering tendrils before line work borders, 116.5cm x 50cm. (2)
PEL (Practical Equipment Limited) - A mahogany sideboard fitted with an arrangement of three drawers, a double door cupboard and single cupboard, with chromium plated tubular handles and raised to a conforming tubular steel frame over a sledge style foot, probably designed by Oliver Percy Bernard, S/DProvenance - Formerly the property of the present owner's grandfather, William Harvey (Jim) Reynolds, (1890-1977). He worked at PEL as a works manager from 1932 to 1956 and then was on 'special duties' from 1956 until he retired in 1960. During his time at PEL he was instrumental in the development of steel tube furniture and there are a couple of patents registered in his name relating to the design of steel tube chairs. During this time, the family recall that he brought prototypes of several items back to the family home. The sideboard is typical of the furniture made by PEL. The present owner and her brother have particularly fond memories of the sideboard - "We used to slide up and down the rails underneath it as small children and a special treat was to reorganise Nan and Grandad's drawers (as there were frequently sweets hidden in the jumble). My Nan used to store her 'medicinal' stout in the cupboard"
Beautility Furniture - A teak sideboard fitted with a central bank of three drawers and flanked by a double door cupboard with ring loop handles to either side, raised to tapered legs with a sledge foot, bears label, height 77cm, width 217cm and depth 47cm, together with a teak circular extending dining table with detachable tapered legs, diameter 117cm when closed and 155cm when extended and four conforming panel back chairs with black vinyl upholstered seats, S/D. (6)The chairs in this lot are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.

Apprenticed to Frank Pratt in Derby until the business moved to Wirksworth after the Derby premises at 43 King Street were lost to make way for the inner ring road in 1967. In 1968 the business moved to The Old Grammar School in Wirksworth where they continued production of reproduction antique furniture opening a new showroom at 67 King Street, Derby. Thomas carried on the business upon Franks retirement in 1973

A large walnut and mahogany Vienna type wall clock, 19th/20th centuryAttributed to Gustav Becker, the typical rectangular case with architectural cresting surmounted by a horse, the door fully glazed and flanked by canted corners having acanthus spandrels, an ogee base below, the enamel dial having black Roman numerals, the weight-driven movement striking on a gong.128cm high, 39cm wideCondition report: Case has some minor cosmetic marks consistent with age. Bead at top of glazed door possibly replaced. Cresting possibly a marriage but contemporary and well matched if so. Movement winds, runs and strikes.
A Queen Anne/George I figured walnut bureau bookcase, with 1/4 veneers, feather-banding and broad cross-banding, the upper double arched section with two doors, enclosing two adjustable shelves over 4 short drawers, the base with two retractable candle slides above a fall, enclosing a stepped interior and well, the two long drawers over a moulded edge, raised on later bun feet, restorations and later elements, 101cm wide x 55cm deep x approximately 192cm highCondition report: Overall - ok in general. Some chips and dents, including edges of fall and doors. Inevitably some loss of original colour.Later elements, including lowest shelf and probably drawers in upper section, some of bureau's interior, including stepped section, some beads and mouldings and bun feet, handles, hinges and escutcheons. Restorations including the top and veneers, including both sides of top, right door and fall and veneers in general, including crossbanding of fall.
