FIRST EDITION of the first known anthology of Scottish poetry. Part III contains a poem entitled "The Tunnice-Court." Although the book ends with the words "The End of the First Volume", no other parts were published.

A George III oak longcase clock, with broken scroll neck pediment, above an arch door, enclosing a 13 inch brass dial signed by Dent, the chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals beneath painted man and an eight day rack striking movement with anchor escapement, above a crossbanded trunk door flanked by quartered columns above panelled base, raised on bracket feet, including two weights and a pendulum, 212 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Case: appears fairly original but has sustained knocks and bashes and has some veneer losses. the front of the plinth has split horizontally. The backboard does not appear to have been disturbed. Dial is original and appears unaltered. Movement- appears original and needs cleaning . The clock is fairly original overall and although there may be minor repairs that have occurred over time these are not substantial.
