LNWR mahogany cased rectangular dial mantel railway clock. The rectangular case measures 9.5in tall x 7in wide x 4in deep has a rectangular glazed door to the front and a door with fretwork to the rear. The original LNWR enamel numberplate 4802 is screwed below the rear door. The French manufactured pendulum movement by Japy Frere CIE is in good clean working condition. The original painted dial is marked John Walker 1 South Molton St L.N.W.R To H.M. The King. In full working condition with pendulum and key.
Cardiff Railway 12in oak cased chain driven fusee railway clock. The oak case with eight piece surround has two side doors and a bottom door secured with the typical GWR ball bearing catch. The GWR ivorine numberplate 1190 is screwed onto the left hand side and the rear of the case is hand painted CRC18. The large A frame chain driven fusee movement is in good clean condition. The original dial with GWR in block style has visible as ghosted writing Cardiff Railway Co Spiridion & Son Cardiff. This important and rare survivor is featured on page 74 of The Railway Clock Book by the late I.P.Lyman. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.
Preston & Wyre Railway 12in mahogany cased fusee railway clock. The mahogany case with eight piece surround has one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass turn, the later LMS oval brass numberplate 9095 is screwed onto the side. The rectangular plated fusee movement has shaped shoulders and pillars with central turned rings. The original dial is lettered MELLING P&WRY NO69 PRESTON. This important and rare survivor is featured on page 140 of The Railway Clock Book by the late I.P.Lyman. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.
LBSCR 18in oak cased drop dial chisel bottom chain driven fusee railway clock. The oak chisel bottom case has one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass lock. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement is in good clean condition. The original dial repainted post 1948 is lettered JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 995B. The Southern clock records show that this clock was supplied by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliott Ltd to the London Brighton and South Coast Railway in 1902 at a cost of £7-5-od and spent all of its working life at Bexhill Central Booking Hall. A large and impressive timepiece in working condition complete with pendulum and key.
NSR 12in mahogany cased fusee railway clock. The mahogany case has one side door and a bottom door and is stamped 13146/8537. The rectangular plated fusee movement is in good clean condition. The original dial is lettered NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE RAILWAY 22504 R.THOMPSON LEICESTER. A rare clock with the railway company in full title that has escaped later repaints. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.
LNWR 8in mahogany cased fusee railway clock. The mahogany case with a one piece turned surround has one side door and a bottom door secured with a lock. Its LNWR enamel numberplate 4043 is secured onto the side of the back box. The rectangular plated fusee movement is in good clean condition. The original dial is lettered J.N.O.WALKER LTD 127 FENCHURCH ST & 63 NEW BOND ST LONDON 8190 (the dial number is a Walker number not to be confused with the LNWR clock number). A rare survivor with original dial painting as most were repainted LMSR or BR(LM). Complete with pendulum and key.
Maryport &. Carlisle 14 inch. Dial wall mounted weight driven wall railway clock, ex Brayton Station Signal Box. The brass weight driven movement has rectangular plates, turned pillars with central rings and is mounted on a seat board, the pendulum has a flat steel rod with a brass bob. The Dial with subsidiary second dial is marked with the supplier's name of W. Wilson Maryport and the oak case with chisel to the base retains its enamel LNWR numberplate 5668, inside the door is inscribed various markings including R Norman 9/5/60-18/3/61 Denys Brayton 22-5-33. The clock was acquired in 1967 when the signal box was closed. A superb timepiece from this relatively small railway company, in working condition complete with weight pendulum and key.
MS&L 12in convex dial mahogany cased chain driven fusee railway clock. The mahogany case with a one piece turned surround has one side door and a bottom door. The rectangular plated movement with shaped shoulders and ringed pillars has chain drive to the fusee. The original convex dial is lettered I.Simmons, 9 St Anne's Sqe Manchester 216 and visible as ghosted writing is LNER 7400. A full account of this clocks restoration by DR D.R.Parr accompanies the lot as well as copies of the LNER records which show it was in use at Scawby and probably dates from around the opening in 1849. In working condition with pendulum and key. An important railway clock as there are few convex dial examples known to survive.

Tristschler, Bolton, with single fusee movement, 43cm diameter overall CONDITION REPORT: Movement and frame loose from one another. Case with general chips and scratches. Hinge to door loose. Some scratches to the dial. Not currently in full working order, some attention needed.
A pair of French Louis XV style gilt metal mounted walnut vitrines in the manner of Francois Linke, mid 20th century, with gallery top above a waisted body with bevelled glass door enclosing glass shelves, bevelled mirror back plate and mirrored base, on cabriole legs, 153cm H x 60cm W (one sunned)PROVENANCE: Private collection, from a Thames riverside house, Windsor. CONDITION REPORT: One of the vitrines is sun faded. Both do have the original shelves. The gilt metal shoes to the front legs on the faded example do detach. The varnish has a feint crazing throughout to both. Some slight scratches and light wear. Glass to side panels is nicely rippled. Overall, despite fading, appearance ok.

CONDITION REPORT: This is a handsome and high quality bedroom suite. The centre section of the wardrobe was extended / deepened to make it more conducive to modern hanging. The two side sections were note enlarged but the sides of the wardrobe were extended to the same depth of the centre section. A good cabinet maker has completed this. When it was extended a secret compartment was added to the right hand side section. Some sun fading to the right hand side of the wardrobe. The dressing table is heavily sun faded to the back of the triple mirror, less so but noticeable to the top of the dressing table proper. There is a corner spandrel lacking to the left hand corner of the knee hole section of the dressing table. The marble top commode has some nibbles to the underside edge of the marble, old wear / chips to both front corners and general light age wear scuffs to the top. Light fading to the front of the drawers. Bed head with several light varnish blemishes / scratches to the panelled section, not immediately noticeable. Bed sides with blemishes and scratches to varnish. Some fading to the left hand side of the bed. All pieces oak lined and most of the drawers with peg holes at the back. All pieces with general light age wear scuffs, some scratches, but overall an impressive suite.Two keys
