Jas Cawson & Son of Liverpool; a late 18th century mahogany-cased longcase clock, the swan neck pediment above circular white-painted dial set with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and day aperture with further maritime rolling moon phase, twin globes and floral spandrels, the hands with gilt and bright-cut decoration, dial diameter approx 34cm, above triple-arched door enclosing twin weights and pendulum, on cut corner base to ogee bracket feet, height approx 228cm. CONDITION REPORT Clock has not been tested, so no guarantee of working order, case has some areas of wear throughout with chips and loss to veneer, will need some attention and restoration. The dial with a hairline crack to left of VI numeral, further chips to the lower-left edge, otherwise crazed with some areas of repainting, again will need some attention. No evidence of woodworm, wear commensurate with age but does not detract.
