A mid to late 19c. Brigg long case clock-the painted arch dial decorated with cottages, circular Roman numeric dial, Arabic second hand and date aperture signed J. Chant, Brigg. Fitted in an arched mahogany case with a wide rosewood cross band and flanked by part turned columns, the wide trunk inlaid with horses, flowers and scrolls above a shaped door flanked by further columns with a prominent rosewood cross band. The whole on bracket feet. 236 cms. high.
