A LARGE MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT WARDROBECIRCA 1810221cm high, 261cm wide, 60cm deepCondition Report: Overall this is a very odd configuation but adaptions are not obvious. The central large section has been converted to hanging (the rails for the slides are still present and a hanging bar has been fitted). To one side the door opens to a further hanging bar and large space, the lower false drawer fronts are also hinged and open to increase the accessibility of this hanging space. The other narrow side has a cupboard door enclosing a shelved space, the drawers below this are one very deep drawer with two fronts, and a further single drawer. The central bank of drawers is as it appears and has two short and two long drawers. A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND EBONISED BEDSIDE COMMODE CIRCA 1810 80.5cm high, 69cm wide, 53.5cm deep Please note, the vendor will donate the proceeds from the sale of this lot to a local charity (TBC)Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits, chips and losses. An aperture has been drilled thorough the back board, presumably for wires to be fed through. Some later plastic blocks applied to the interior of upper section (supports for additional shelf). The back of one door with foamy glue residue visible to lower edge - see image. Various old repairs to veneers and mouldings with some sections re-stuck - see images. Metalware appears original. One hinge with slim fillet of later timber used as a packer underneath it, filler has been applied to help disguise this. Durham Condition Report: There are scuffs, scratches, cracks, knocks and abrasions consistent with age and use.Some sun fading to the right side. Water marks to the top of the base.There are losses and restorations including a cut to the right side of the cornice, an inset small rectangular patch below; a later moulding tot he right side of the top of the base; some small veneers torn, missing, replaced, filled and re-fixed; marks from previous handles; lacking a part of the moulding to the central door; running repairs to the astragals; the upper shelves are not fixed; these shelves have tooled leather shaped trims that are dry with some tears and scuffing; there are adjustable shelves to the base.The locks are later, there is one old key, three later keys that operate the locks.There are horizontal back boards to the top, panelled backboards to the base, some splits.Please refer to the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.Condition Report Disclaimer

The uprights where the seat board lies appear to have been cut down. Small splits to the sides of the case. A split to the front lower panel of the case. General knocks, scuffs and wear throughout. Thomas Stones, London, Good late 17th Century mulberry cased 8 day longcase clock, the 12" square brass dial with cast spandrels, subsidiary seconds and date aperture with silvered chapter ring, in mulberry veneered case, the hood with finely pierced frieze and spiral twist pilaster. With two weights and pendulum. Overall height 216cm.Good order, some missing bull mouldings to door , base panel restored, some glass replaced, Movement probably married to the case. Some empty holes in backplate near bell suggesting an alteration.
Good quality mid-18th century oak high dresser, the boarded rack with cup hooks and glazed cupboards below, the base with six graduated drawers on arcaded frieze and turned supports with pot board below, 175cm wide x 42cm deep x 220cm highTop and base are consistent and appear to belong together. Right hand glazed door has loss to glass. Top of base has some stains. Brass handles possibly original, one drop handle is missing. Small losses to beading around drawers and some old worm holds to drawer linings, overall condition is good, nice patination. Top can be removed from base.
18th / 19th century Continental silver monstrance of typical sun burst form, raised on knopped column support with acanthus leaf and beaded decoration on domed circular foot, indistinctly marked, possibly Liège, together with a later fitted oak box. 38cm in overall height.Provenance: To be sold by direction of the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre.General overall condition very good, some minor surface scratching, no evidence of any major damage or repair. Lunette has three chips to door glass but other wise very good. Hallmarks on both main body and rim of lunette are rubbed.
