Lewis of 78 Pensford Road, Knowle Park, Bristol, all handwritten reporting general WWII news across all theatres and also eyewitness reports by himself during the bombing raids for example Monday 17 March 1941 'Bristol was the town which bore the brunt of the last nights air attack , many hundreds of incendiary bombs were dropped with little result high explosive were also used. Air Raid warnings 3.40 to 3.50pm and at 3.55pm. We heard a wave of jerries passing over high up in the clouds', together with 4 silver ARP badges plus an ARP Wardens door plaque sign (Qty: 9)

Two side doors, left one opens to reveal five small drawers containing scissors, thread, needles etc. Right hand door houses foot pedals. Central cupboard has storage, and contains a large box of threads, needles, etc., and a large tin of threads, bias bindings, pins and other accessories.
