A 19th Century mahogany bookcase cabinet, the astragal glazed upper section with adjustable shelving over two cupboard doors enclosing two linen drawers CONDITION REPORTS 215cm h x 110cm w x 51.5cm d. Overall condition generally good though with signs of wear and tear conducive to age and use. Base section has only two press drawers ie. top and bottom drawers missing. Cornice medallions appear to have signs of wear/rubbing suggesting there may have been something else there at one time, now polished off. Door has some signs of damage to the beading. See images for further detail. Base had slight scratching to the left hand door.

TOJO HIDEKI: (1884-1948) Japanese Prime Minister 1941-44, responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor, which led to America entering World War II. An unusual set of three original 4 x 3 photographs, each depicting different views of the barracks in which prisoners, including Tojo, were held during the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal. One of the photographs is signed by Tojo, in both English and Japanese, with his name alone to the verso. Another of the photographs is annotated in an unidentified hand to the verso, 'Gallows where Tojo was hung. Note #13 on door!' Rare. Some very slight, minor age wear, otherwise VG, 3

An 18th century oak-cased single-hand 30-hour Longcase clock, the 11" brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and subsidiary date aperture, the four ornately pierced spandrels headed with masks and flanking an applied silver disc signed Donisthorp, 1752, Normanton, the dial flanked by two columns and a rectangular trunk door below with the medullary rays visible as decorative ornament, with shaped apron and raised on bracket style feet, the brass movement striking on a bell, 190cm high, (with pendulum and weight)
A late 19th century Chinese hardwood and brass-mounted Mahjong cabinet, the swivel-handle modelled as a bat above a central Shou character and the rest of the cabinet also profusely mounted with various brass symbols including a opposing dragons to each door, the doors opening to reveal four drawers fully fitted with bamboo-backed ivory tables, the outer lower drawer with sticks, further tablets and general Mahjong accessories etc., complete with four tile stands (damage to tile stands and the top left-hand hinge away from the door), (with original brass lock and key)
