A GROUPING OF VINTAGE DOOR HANDLES, LOCKS AND KEYS, 19TH/20TH CENTURY. Comprising of brass, bronze, porcelain and wooden door handles (some complete), a variety of locks including Miller Six Lever, Yale (made for USN), Eagle Lock Co. and various others. Together with over 200 antique, vintage and contemporary keys, some skeleton and clock keys, shown partially illustrated.
AN ENGLISH ARTS AND CRAFTS GILT BRONZE, SILVERED AND ENAMELED PICTURE FRAME, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. Of architectural free standing form with hinged door/locking cover opening to reveal a glazed panel for photograph. Apparently unmarked. Height 11.25 inches (28.5 cm). Display window 5.875 inches X 3.875 inches (15 x 10 cm).
AMENDMENT: Please note this post box is not c. 1890 but is late 20th Century - A carved oak post box, c.1890, the hexagonal top carved with semi-circular design, the cylindrical body with hinged door, brass mounted letter slot and information aperture, on moulded circular base, (with key), height 53 cm.
A George III mahogany long case clock, the hood with broken swan neck pediment and fluted column supports, the 14" broken arch topped painted Roman dial set moon phase and second subsidiary dial above marquetry paterae and shape door, flanked by quarter fluted pilasters, raised on a box base and bracket feet, 250cm high x 59cm wide.
LATE 19th C STANDARD GRADE WOOTON PATENT DESK Victorian style standard grade burled walnut Wooton patent desk having bronze hardware. Has handle to front with locking mechanism. Has letter slots to left and right hand side. Opens to reveal slots for paperwork to left hand side and letter box having hinged door with picture of Grover Cleveland. Right hand side houses green drawers. Center holds drawers and slots with drop leather top desk. Has four Caster wheels to bottom. Circa 1890. Measures 72" height x 42" width x 30" depth (182.8cm x 106.7cm x 76.2cm).
