No splits or losses. Wardrobe with some fading. Dressing table with some minor marks to top. Interior of wardrobe excellent. All doors close properly, no warping.

Has been overhauled in the last 25 years. Seatboard is replacement. In working order. Some lacquer losses to door and fine vertical split.

A late 18c eight day longcase clock by Peter Hunter of Allon, the 13 arched brass dial having a silvered and engraved dial centre with scroll and urn spandrels and a strike silent lever in the arch. It has unmatched steel hands and seconds and date indicators. The movement is of standard construction having anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell. It is contained in a mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood with a central finial and fluted freestanding columns flanking the dial. The long trunk door has a wavy top and a boxwood edge line inlay and is flanked by fluted quarter columns. There is a rectangle of chequer inlay above the door and the quarter columns have line inlay below them. The base has canted corners and a rectangle of line inlay with indented corners and a wavy plinth, 86 tall overall.

Lot 119

A mid 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12 arched brass dial signed Robert Pyle, Newport and having a matted centre and female head spandrels. It has unmatched steel hands and date and seconds indicators. The movement is of standard construction with rack striking and anchor escapement and is now housed in a later plain oak case. The hood is flat topped and has plain columns attached to the door. The long trunk door has a lenticle glass and chamfered edges and the base is plain with a solid skirting, 81.5 tall.

The five pillar movement has rack striking and anchor escapement and is contained in a plain oak case with flat topped hood and the hood door has plain columns attached. The trunk has a long plain rectangular door and the base is plain with a plain skirting, 80 tall overall.

Lot 111

An early 20c German mantel clock in round top dark stained hardwood case with boxwood stringing to the front face. The round topped dial is matt silvered and has a silvered chapter ring and subsidiary dials for chime/silent and pendulum regulation. The narrow brass front door frame has a bevelled glass and a round top to match the dial. The two train movement quarter chimes on four straight rods and hour strikes on three, 13.25 tall overall.
