A George III mahogany long case clock with arch brass dial and painted moon phase below an arc titled `On Times Uncertain Eternity Depends` with seconds and subsidiary dial and scroll engraved centre and cartouche` inscribed Brownbill Liverpool, enclosed by a double pillar swan neck hood over a shaped long trunk door flanked by reeded canted pilasters on a projected canted plinth base and ogee bracket feet, height 232cm.
An Edwardian style cross-banded satinwood display cabinet, adjustable shelf interior enclosed by a glazed door with conforming sides below a fluted moulded edge cornice over two deep base drawers inlaid with oval panels and cast brass drop handles all on a plinth base, height 192cm, depth 47cm, width 96cm.
GWR & Rhymney Railway 12" Oak Cased Fusee Dial Clock. Original, early chain drive fusee movement with shaped shoulders and tapered pillars and an oak case with 2 side doors, bottom door and eight piece segmented surround. The original dial shows GWR in block lettering and ghosted GW & RR Cos, Spiridion, Cardiff. Complete with Ivorine plate G.W.R. 1222 . An exceptional survivor and one of only 3 examples known to exist. In working condition complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1890
BR(E) enamel Sign `Rights Of Way Act 1932- …Way Not Dedicated To The Public. Measures 10" x 8" and is in excellent condition with deep colour and shine. Together with Enamel sign `This Door For Emergency Use Only - To Open Door Lift Handle`. White lettering on dark blue ground, 20½" x 5". In excellent condition.
Carriage Door Push Plates, qty 3, plated brass (one cleaned back to bare brass) each measuring 11¾ x 2½". Manufactured by James Cartland & Sons, Constitution Hill, Birmingham. Makers initials are cast into the back along with the date, 1864 and the Registration No 190677. Each has a most ornate pattern cast into the face. Confirmed by the Collections Officer at the Steam Museum Swindon, to be identical to those held by the Museum that originated from the 1897 Diamond Jubilee Train.
Enamel Sign `Wait Until The Train Stops At The Platform Before Opening The Door`, in three lines, white lettering on dark blue ground . Measures 27½" x 5" and is in very good condition with a few lower edge repairs to the blue, other than that, there is no damage to the lettering. Makers name `Wildman & Meguyer Ltd bottom right. A very rare sign indeed.
Great Eastern Railway 12" mahogany cased Fusee Dial Clock. Original chain drive fusee movement with rectangular plates and tapered pillars. The mahogany case has 1 side door, a bottom door and one piece turned surround. Retains some green baize attached to the inside of the back box which was a feature of GER clocks. The dial shows LNER in block lettering and the clock No 1465. The LNER clock records show the location as Stratford Works Accountant, Loco Accounts, Machine Room. In working condition complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1900
Birmingham City Transport enamel Notices, qty 3 comprising:- Roller Shutter Gates, six paragraphs of regulations, red and white, 17" x 12"; Trap Door sign, 13½" x 9" black and white, virtually mint; `Towing Speed Limit 10MPH - March 1959` black and white measuring 20" x 9½". Excellent condition.
An early 20th century French walnut twin door armoire ( with key ) . Raised on shaped legs having an upright body with twin bevelled mirror glass doors enclosing shelving within ( removes) Above a large conch shell carved cornice. Completely dismantles for ease of movement. H223cm x L113cm x D43cm
A pair of 19th century walnut and burr walnut inlaid pier cabinets. Raised on a squat foot plinth base having upright body with central door flanked by corinthium columns with gilt metal caubels having ormulu flashes within the reeding. The doors inlaid with burr walnut and satinwood marquetry.
George III oak and mahogany long case clock with dentil carved swan neck pediment, applied with brass embossed roundels and brass finials, the broken arched painted dial, bird and cockerel decorated with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar arch, inscribed "Abram Shaw, Billingboro.", the trunk with fluted canted fore-corners, broken arched door inlaid with floral and foliate elliptical-shaped cartouche, on plinth base, 210cm high approx.
An eight day, floral painted, long case clock by E. Crake, Lowestoft, in crossbanded oak case, height 216cm. Condition Report: The hood is missing centre finial. Some of the crossbanding on the door to the trunk varies, so sections may have been replaced. Also small section of crossbanding veneer missing from lower trunk, together with a definate horizontal join in the panel. There is a pendulum and key, but no weights. NB: On the reverse of the front plate of the movement is stamped "Finmore & Son".
A large, eight day, mahogany longcase clock, height 244cm. Condition Report: We have all three finials, even though our photo only shows two. Cracks to veneer on hood and small piece missing from the back seat section of hood. Splits to both sides of the trunk casing. Small chip to panel on trunk door. The movement has no hand or mechanism to top dial. Also chapter ring is rubbed. Pendulum, key and weights are present.
