Victorian walnut and marquetry vitrine, rectangular top above a curved and foliate marquetry frieze, gilt metal mounts, arched glazed door enclosing three shelves, shaped apron, bracket feet, width 88cm, depth 32cm, height 112cm.Condition report:Various splits to the top surface veneer. A replacement wedge to the back right top corner. Various veneer losses to the top edge corners. There are further splits to the frieze to the left hand side - a horizontal split above the gilt border mount; and a vertical split running almost half the height from the border mount down to the right of the ormolu mask. The right hand side and front are free of any significant splits, some small splits surrounding the marquetry sections of the front. The lock escutcheon is loose - just one pin holding in place at the top. The gilt mounts have some oxidation.
