A George III/IV oak and mahogany longcase clock, 33cm arched enamel dial inscribed Anthony Shepperley, Nottingham, Roman numerals, painted to the arch with an allegory of harvest, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture, twin winding holes, 8 day movement striking on a bell, the case with swan neck pediment, serpentine arched door to waist flanked by canted angles, skirted base, 215cm high, c.1820Anthony Shepperley 1783-1855 was of Long Row, Nottingham and also advertised himself as jeweller, cutler, fancy warehouse and lace machine inventor. From 1828 to 1844 he was partner of William Pearce (d. 1876) . He married Rebecca Dickson at St. Mary, Nottingham 15th May 1804, and in 1844 moved to21, Pelham Street, leaving his son George working at Long Row. His grandson Philip Shepperley was also a clockmaker at 5, {Pelham St until 1864.

Some tarnishing to metal work. The door with later catch and escutcheon. The dial with discoloured patches to the painted surface which are possibly repainted areas that have not weathered consistently. Some refreshment to the makers' name and London, and around the winding holes. Some of the paintwork is flaking.The side grills with replacement green silk backing. The working of order of the movement has not been checked and there is no guarantee of it's working functionality.
A FRENCH GILT-METAL AND MARBLE MOUNTED STRIKING MANTEL CLOCKBy Rollin, Paris, late 19th CenturyCase mounted with Classical figure supporting a portrait, enamel dial with Roman hours, the twin train movement striking on a bell, stamped 'ROLLIN A PARIS' with serial number, with pendulum and winding key, 33cm high; 39cm wideCondition report: Overall wear and scuffs, rubbing and tarnishing, dirt and dust commensurate with use and age. The case with replacement back foot, which is an upturned ebonised finial that is loose and worn. The case stamped with various serial numbers. Door loose, tarnishing and material lining very discoloured and worn. Hairline crack to marble mount. Chips surrounding the winding holes. No guarantee of the working order of the movement and it is recommended that the clock have a thorough overall.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY OAK FOLIO CABINETWith pair of enclosing panel doors, 107cm wide; 71cm deep; 138cm highCondition report: Overall, in good condition. Some minor scuffs and scratches overall commensurate with age and use. The top with slight variation in colour with fading, and various scuffs, scratches and marks.Various small chips in areas, notably one to the right handside corbel and one towards the base of the front right door. An applied moulding block to the top frieze of the right hand side return, at the back edge, is currently loose, and requires re-attaching (currently in frieze drawer). A thin section of moulding is also split and require repair.Interior drawers with some remains of the labels to the front edges, and brass pull-out handles.
AN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT WALNUT HANGING SHELFWith a trio of carved panels over drawers, 69cm wide; 76cm highCondition report: Good overall condition, with some minor scuffs and marks, fading and wear commensurate with age and use. Including a few small chips to the edges, such as the drawer edges. A few marks to the top shelf and minor splotches of paint to the sides, which can be easily cleaned off. Dirt and dust. A VICTORIAN CARVED OAK COURT CUPBOARDIn two sections, the panelled doors carved with tavern scenes, two frieze drawers, 142cm wide; 194cm highCondition report: cupboard in good antique condition, minor scuffs consistent with use. No major damage or faults, key present. One piece of moulding detached from right hand side, we have, easy fix. On the main photo the cupboard door is slightly open but is in perfect condition. Would benefit from a light wax.
A 19TH CENTURY CHINESE RED LACQUER CUPBOARDWith three lower drawers, 109cm wide; 182cm highCondition report: Overall, in good condition. A few knocks and scuffs in areas, with some shrinkage to the panelled doors (visible in catalogue image). The one half of the brass plate mount is loose and require resecuring. Some chips to the softwood, including to the front left foot and upper corners of the door. Drawers to the interior, one with a small chip. See further illustrations. 60.5cm deep overall.
A RENAISSANCE REVIVAL STAINED WALNUT CABINET-ON-STANDIn two sections, the central cupboard enclosing various drawers, flanked by standing figures, 95cm wide; 180cm highCondition report: Parts 19th century, top and bottom associated. The top section is probably missing a front panel, possibly a fall front. This is explained by patched hole at the top and two side holes. Further to where the fall would’ve opened, there is also a replacement two sided rectangular section inserted below the four small drawers. However there’s is little wear to the carved moulding below from the possible fall front. Old worm holes in areas, notably to some of the figures. Metal work later, hinges replaced in areas. Some back boards are also missing. General wear, knocks, rubbing. Some shrinkage cracks to the sides visible and to other areas. Cabinet doors have shrunk a little, with a small gap between and additional section of timber added and a further spliced in section to door, hinge side. Some small losses. Scuffs, dirt and dust. Otherwise, a decorative piece.
