A GEORGE III AND LATER PARCEL-GILT GREEN JAPANNED LONG CASE CLOCKBy Richard Felton, BridgenorthThe case and hood with later associated parts, movement and dial also later associated, 55cm wide; 28cm deep; 249cm high overall, 233 cm high (back of the case)Condition reportThe dial fits well into the hood aperture, just a small amount of the cross hatching is overlaid by the hoodThe case: Many elements are later added - such as the moulded base and parts of the hood. The hood was in separate pieces and has now been reconstructed. The pillared glass door to the front of the hood is loose and there is no obvious hinge, but it can slide on, however, there are numerous areas of worm damage. See extra images. Other losses include a section of moulding to the side of the case. Numerous areas of chips and losses to the paintwork and gilding. The Dial: Tarnished chapter ring and surrounds. The Movement:One weight. The movement will need to be inspected by a specialist and there is no guarantee of any working order. See images to indicate what pieces are present.
WNAI - A PAIR OF MID-19TH CENTURY NAPOLEON III ORMOLU MOUNTED EBONISED AND PIETRA DURA SIDE CABINETS (2)Each with a black slate top over a slate mounted door decorated with fruiting trees with birds, flanked by Bacchic herms, 116cm wide; 53cm deep; 131cm highCondition report: Numerous losses, breaks and damages. Notably, one with a cracked and broken slate top at the front right projecting corner and further cracks to the panelled door.The other cabinet with extensive crack through the slate mounted door. Both with numerous shrinkage splits visible from the inside and further veneer cracks to the side doors. Both with many loose elements of inlay, notably to the sides, see extra images and in other areas. Both with losses to the pietra dura decoration on the doors, one with a section of the tree trunk missing. Both with heavy tarnishing, oxidisation to mounts and dirt and dust. Other general signs of wear and tear, with the inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age. A 18TH-CENTURY CHINESE METAL-MOUNTED MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID LACQUERED TWO DOOR CABINETOn associated 19th-century stand, 114cm wide; 47cm deep; 163cm highCondition report: Vertical splits to both doors, as can been seen in the images. Various loose hinges and losses around the lock. Doors loose. The central door lock plate is a replacement. Other general warping and losses, chips and scuffs to decoration. Notably chips to the top of the back. Shrinkage to the backboards. Missing moulded edge to the side of the stand and the opposing section is loose. Glued blocks to the internal rails. Wear to the edges of the legs of the stand, particularly the front legs. General inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.Please see further images.
A FOLK ART PAINTED NOVELTY COTTAGE TEA-CADDYThe hinged roof opening to reveal two covered caddies, 21.5cm wide; 14cm deep; 24cm highCondition report: This novelty caddy dates probably from the early 20th Century rather than the 19th Century. The paintwork has been refreshed at some point. The carving of the details of the door are a little crude There is oxidisation to the underside and wear to the base and to the interior. Slight lifting of the lid with a small gap. Please see further images.
A JAPANESE PARQUETRY INLAID ASH TABLE CABINETWith an arrangement of five drawers and cupboard, 36cm wide; 25.5cm deep; 29cm highCondition report: The side door opens, enclosing two drawers. The drawer below contains a lacquered slide with a red underside. The top with two grooves, possibly these would have been pronounced to accommodate the top section. The underside is covered in red baize. Various dents and fading to this section.Unfortunately we have not been able to open up the two sections, and it appears to be tightly held at the bottom. The right side top is now a little loose with some small minor chips to the edge, see images. The door also missing two mounts to the very edge. A few other minor chips and losses to the veneers . A few marks to the back. Other small inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.Please see extra images.
A 17TH CENTURY AND LATER OAK AND ELM BACON CUPBOARDWith a pair of double arch panel cupboards over four short drawers, 141cm wide; 56.5cm deep; 193cm highCondition report: Various old repairs and replacements, including bracket feet, side return moulding of the cornice, various boards and drawer lining to one short drawer.. Later handles and escutcheons. Later hinges and old metal brace repair to inside of door. Various old chips and losses. Various old worm holes and subsequent losses, see extra images. Later hooks and rails to the interior. Inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.Shrinkage in areas as to be expected, and a very slight sag towards the centre. Loose of moulding to the one side return with shrinkage.

A REGENCY MAHOGANY SIDE CABINETWith an arrangement of five drawers and three cupboards divided by spiral columns; 115cm wide, 45.8cm deep, 82cm highCondition report: Possibly originally with a gallery which has been reduced / removed. Otherwise inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.Central cupboard door missing lock lining. Minor shrinkage, including a horizontal crack to the one side, as to be expected. Cut out section of backboard, and reglued.

The brass demi-lune plate to one side lacking pins and loose. No peg to hold doors shut
