A mid-18th Century Walnut cased 8-day Long Case Clock, Wm Gunn of Wallinford, the hood with moulded overhanging cornice to ¾ colums and ogee throat, to a long plain trunk door and plinth base, to a 12" arched brass dial, with subsidiary date to the arch flanked by dolphin spandrels, over further mask and foliate spandrels, enclosing a Roman and Arabic chapter ring, with half-hour diamond markers to a matted centre, with subsidiary seconds and ringed winding squares, with blued steel hands, to a movement with plates united by four knopped and finned pillars, with anchor escapement, strike on a bell, height 77 ½"
