Good quality 19th century Swiss music box by Eugene Bornand, signed and numbered 3761, in rosewood case with brass inlay, large winding key and small lock key. Lunch of the comb 33cm, length of the cylinder 33cm. Overall size of the case 54cm wide x 22.5cm deep x 16cm highCondition report: There is no tune card with the box. The case requires some attention, some of the brass stringing and inlaid decoration is missing. Some of the missing pieces are present. The hinge on the side door is partially broken. The box winds up and appears to play well with no missing or damaged pegs noted. Cylinder approximately 8cm in diameter.

A mid-18th Century ebonised bracket clock by William Smith of London, fitted a twin fusee movement, the backplate finely engraved with foliate scrolls, the dial with mock pendulum and date aperture, the silvered chapter ring with black Roman hours and Arabic minutes, cornered with cast and pierced Rococo scroll spandrels, all beneath a silvered strike/silent indicator to the arch, the case with brass carrying handle, 51cm high (handle up) Note: William Smith is recorded as working as a clockmaker in Cheapside, London from 1750 to 1780/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: Note: the rear door is not glazed. A Regency mahogany chiffonier, the waterfall superstructure with turned supports above two grille doors, 83cm wide x 146cm high/Provenance: Chorley's 22nd May 2014, Lot 102 CONDITION REPORT: Stains and ring marks to super structure and top. Top two pillars slightly loose. Stains throughout acceptable with age. Door brass bars very dull but complete. Interior base split. Shelves and base also stained. Base of chiffonier missing veneer.
