A third quarter of the 18th century oak 30-hour longcase by Thomas Lister of Halifax, the profusely carved oak case has a flat-topped hood with barley twist columns over a straight-sided trunk with shaped door, the signed 12-inch dial has brass hands, and a Halifax moonphase indication below the 12 o'clock position, which is mirrored by the date aperture below, the weight-driven movement has external countwheel striking on a bell, and anchor escapement, 213cm high
