A burr walnut and marquetry small bureau bookcase in the early 18th century style, with parcel gilt acanthus moulded frieze over single shaped-top panel door with bird and flower marquetry infill and enclosing interior fitted with shelves over small cupboard and stationery compartments to top, the base with feather banded book-match veneered hinged fall enclosing stepped interior over four long graduated drawers with brass ring handles, on bracket feet, 203cm high, 71cm wide, 50cm deep.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY THREE TRAIN LONGCASE CLOCK, by Thomas Wigan of Bristol. The case with arched hood having blind fret freize, arch apeture flanked by fluted Corinthian columns, waist with arch door flanked by canted fluted panelled base on platform support. Originally a two train eight day clock with square face, this clock now has an arched face with rocking ship pediment seconds dial and date apeture and a three train movement striking on one large and four small bells. Face 16" High x 12" Wide. (Thomas Wigan, Bristol died 1790).

In oak case, the hood with swans neck pediment, pillars flanking the dial door and on low bracket supports, 205cms high

The hood detailed with side pillars having brass collars all around the painted dial. The dial decorated with floral spandrels and a windmill and signed for Alfred Allgood of Ledbury, height 77".

Briton Riviere R. A. 'Waiting', a bull terrier seating patiently awaiting a shadow cast door to open, oil on canvas, 13" x 10", monogrammed with dated 18(BR)87, gilt framed. Provenance: given to the current vendor by Eva Wetherill. The picture is believed to have been bought by Raymond Oppenheimer (DeBeers) who had important kennels of bull terriers.

An Oak Thirty Hour Single Hand Longcase Clock with Unusual Dial, signed Joseph Butterworth, Fecit, circa 1730, the oak case with flat top pediment, hood with columns to the sides, wavy shaped trunk door with marquetry star medallion, plain rectangular plinth, very fine 11-inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed, the matted dial centre with two arched apertures for date of the month and lunar scale combined with penny moon aperture, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a bell, 208cm high *Joseph Butterworth of Cawthorne, Barnsley, was probably the son of John Butterworth who was also a clockmaker. Joseph is thought to have succeeded his father around 1720. Only half a dozen longcase clocks are known by Joseph, mostly thirty hour and eight day examples. His dials display very fine engraving and unusual dial layouts. See Loomes (Brian), "Clockmakers of Northern England", page 106
