EARLY 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY WALL TIMEPIECE maker James McCabe, with circular moulded mahogany frame surrounding the six inch silvered Roman dial with spade blued steel hands, minute track, slow/fast adjustment and inscribed `James McCabe, Royal Exchange, London No.2397`, the unmarked chain driven single fusee movement with tapered columns, 23cm diam. The dial has some wear and the the rear door has a loss around the fastening but is otherwise in good condition. The mechanism appears to work.

C: Square concealed nickel case with a roller strike mechanism & a flip top arm, watch in the centre of the case concealed by a hinged door, marked Brevet, dimensions are 50mm / 40mm / 11mm. CONDITION REPORT D: Dial in very good condition. M: Working at present. C: In very good condition for its age. Lighter is striking but will need fuel.
