A 19TH CENTURY AND LATER EIGHT-DAY LONG CASE CLOCK having a broken swan-neck pediment with flower-head terminals and giltwood finials, an arched glazed hood door and protruding reeded columns with dentil moulding, the shaped trunk door between reeded quarter columns, the panelled base raised on short bracket feet, the arch of the dial engraved with name ~Alex Picken, Glasgow~ over a chapter ring of Roman hours and Arabic seconds, and two winding apertures, all framed by engraved spandrels. 225cm(h) Dual movement and seat board appear later replacements, marks and scratches, repair to base edge, veneer repairs, some minor depletions, rear feet missing, front feet depleted, some worm damage, viewing advised.

A 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT-DAY LONG CASE CLOCK having a moulded cornice , arched glazed hood door and barley twist columns, the long trunk door with arched glass panel enclosing the brass and glass mercury filled pendulum, the panelled base on turned bun feet, the arch of the dial with silvered roundel, engraved makers name ~John Rankin, Glasgow~, the silvered chapter ring of Roman hours and Arabic minutes, rolling date and winding holes, all framed by applied brass spandrels. 212cm(H) Wear and discolouration to dial, some splits marks and scratches, feet replaced, crack to brass part of dial, viewing advised.

A LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY CARVED OAK, WESTMINSTER CHIME, EIGHT-DAY LONG CASE CLOCK by S Smith & Sons, The Strand, London, having an arch glazed hood door with craved foliate surmount, the oblong trunk door, panelled base and plinth all carved in high relief with various foliate elements, the arch of the dial having a rolling moon phase dial painted with scenes over two hemispheres and two chime setting dials, the silvered chapter ring with gilt Arabic hours and subsidiary seconds dial, winding holes and plaque bearing the maker~ name, all within applied brass spandrels. 23cm(h) Damaged dial movement loose, broken glass and some depletions to hoods raised moulding viewing advised.
