Ritchie, Edinburgh, within Roman numerals and floral spandrels and beneath an arch decorated with a cottage in a landscape, the hood with brass urn finial and broken swan neck pediment, supported on columns, the trunk with fluted quarter columns and an arched door, eight day movement striking on a bell. 207cm

A good Edwardian cased inlaid and satinwood crossbanded mahogany longcase clock, the gilt-brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed Thomas Downs, Louth, with subsidiary seconds dial and strike/silent dial in the arch, eight day movement striking on bells, the hood with swan neck pediment centred by a gilt-brass figure of Time, and fitted with fluted columns, the trunk with fluted quarter columns and a shaped door, decorated throughout with inlaid flowers, scrolls and vases and the door with satinwood crossbanding. 228cm

CONDITION REPORT: Top loose, also repairs to top on both sides, triangular piece added both sides. Cupboard door locks missing. Repair to one front leg at the top, some scratches to the top, chips and splits to the veneer.
