A good slim oak side cabinet in 17th century style, the thumbnail-moulded top above four panelled doors decorated with Gothic tracery and the lower doors headed with flower heads, on pot board style stand with turned legs (63cm wide)The thumbnail-moulded top exhibits some water damage and would need repolishing to bring it back up to original condition. The piece is a very good 20th century reproduction and as such is still in very good condition overall; the sides look good with no problems or splitting; no restoration is noted; the interior of both cupboards, although dusty, is as it should be although on the top cupboard the right-hand door is opened and there is an approx. 1cm circular hole in one of the back board batons (possibly originally for an electrical wire?). Although the piece needs a polish, overall it is in very good original condition. The pod board style stretcher at the bottom has some minor scuffing and scratching to the front and appears to have split slightly at the back (please see images). In the Auctioneer's opinion this could be fairly easily remedied and polished out etc. There is no evidence of woodworm, the doors aren't warped. Height 147cm
