Haynes Stamford; 19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded eight-day longcase clock, the painted dial set with Arabic numerals and secondary chapter ring, signed Haynes Stamford, broken swan neck pediment and canted reeded columns, raised on bracket feet, height 217cm. CONDITION REPORT Dial worn and crazed, hood door detached but present (top hinge broken). Body door lock missing. Splits to both sides of plinth base and front. Top finial loose. Surface wear throughout. Ticks when wound, but does not keep time. Pediment roundels missing.

A large Victorian walnut partner's desk, with amber and gilt tooled leather insert top, central long drawer with drawer to either side, all with Bramah locks, with panelled door to either side, reverse the same with three drawers to either side, on stepped plinth base, 76 x 197 x 107cm. CONDITION REPORT Overall solid but well used. Signs of wear, mostly to the plinth. Scratches to the leather top. One central drawer sunbleached with a small chip to veneer, opposing drawer missing a handle. CONDITION REPORT Overall solid but well used, marble chipped around the edges and rough surface. Front left leg has a scuff near the lower frieze. Single central door opening one large cupboard. One handle missing.

CONDITION REPORT Light surface wear throughout, several areas appear to have been re-stained. Light scuffs, scratches and nicks throughout commensurate with age. Some small areas of veneer have been spliced replacements.

CONDITION REPORT Overall good condition. Some minor scratches, some small chips to edges and corners. Light surface scratches to breakfront. All doors have scuff marks from use. Chip to lacquer of bottom of top section, top right door missing escutcheon. No key for top section. Cabinet splits in two pieces.

A Gustav Becker mahogany Vienna wall clock, with swan neck pediment above a cavetto cornice, the arched door with fluted and turned half columns above a serpentine apron and lobed cushion pendant, the dial with black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, the eight-day movement striking on a coil gong, 42cm wide x 19cm deep x 120cm high.Condition report: Movement and strike train wind. Not tested for running/timekeeping. Movement strikes the hour but out of sync with hands by two hours. Dial shows some light wear. Case pediment associated and not well matched. Two splits to door arch. Minor dints and cosmetic marks to case consistent with age and use.

A George III oak and mahogany brass dial longcase clock, Joseph Brown of Worcester, the hood with swan neck pediment and plain door flanked by turned columns, the boxwood strung trunk with shaped cross-banded door above a cross-banded base box raised on slender bracket feet, the 11 7/8" brass dial with moulded spandrels and silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the four-pillar movement striking on a bell, with weights, pendulum and winder, 38cm wide x 22cm deep x 204cm high.Condition report: Movement winds, runs and strikes and appears in good general order. Hood lacking centre finial. Small repairs to hood door veneer - not disfiguring. Dial good with only negligible signs of age and use. Trunk and base box appear good, clean and original with only very minor shrinkage at panel joints. Decorative panel beneath trunk door is slightly warped inwards at one corner with an associated loss to the rosewood stringing.

A George III mahogany, 30-hour longcase clock, the hood with a broken swan-neck pediment and freestanding Corinthian columns, with brass entablature, enclosing a 12” arched dial with painted floral spandrels and arch, Roman numerals, date subsidiary dial and signed ‘Bancroft, Scarbro’, the 30-hour movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, restored, with key and weight, 213cm high (5)Condition report: Restored, including later cheeks and the arch of the inside trunk door later. Some loss of colour with re-polishing etc. top section of pendulum - metal strap broken. Not operational in vendor’s home.

Three brand marks on the back: "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät", one with the additional number "105" and the dispatch note (tr.) "From Vienna to Gödöllö". Dimensions 184 x 70 x 40 cm.In 1867, Kaiser Franz Josef and Empress Elisabeth were given Gödöllö Castle as a coronation gift from the nation of Hungary.
