DURHAM (active c.1820-1835) `Omen` a bay racehorse by a stable door, an extensive landscape beyond watercolour 11 1/2 x 16in (29.2 x 40.6cm) On the stable door is inscribed ` Omen D of Grafton`s £450 at Newmarket, 1828`, and various wins are also noted; including 1829 Omen Mr W. Leys twice £50 and £35 at Taunton £50 at Exeter. The King`s Cup at Plymouth 1830 £50 at Bridgwater, and other victories at Winchester and Dorchester.
