Offered in this lot are The Boy Craftsman and Out Door Boy Craftsmen by A . Neely Hall. Both of these books are hardback First edition. The Boy Craftsman was published in 1905 and Out Door Boy Craftsman was published in1925. The Boy Craftsman has over four hundred illustrations by the author and Norman P. Hall. Outdoor Boy Craftsmen has over six hundred illustrations and working drawings by the author. Both books are still in good condition for there age with the green red and black covers still bright. The Boy Craftsman spine is broke at the first page and the page with the photo opposite the title has come loose and on the inside blank page is a name and the date 1926. These books are a wonderful collection
Offered in this lot is a very good condition boot bag from Al's Bootery in Billings Montana. In 1946, shortly after the end of World War II, a gentleman named Al Jenkins started a boot and shoe repair shop. Al believed that providing the highest quality materials, old-world craftsmanship, and stellar service were the only reasons worth opening his door every morning. These boot bags were sold and given away to good customers over 30 years ago. other than some outside wear marks this bag is in good shape with the zipper working. The bag is red with white handles and white trim. The bag measures 15 1/2" X 14 1/2" X 6".
A Chinese portiere or door hanging, c. 1900, worked in polychrome silk and gilt threads on cotton and felt, the top panel decorated with phoenix and blossom against a red ground within a border of scrolls and flowers against a blue ground, the shaped pelmet worked with mask, dragons, precious objects and clouds against a buff ground. 67cm by 65cm
A 19th century Lancashire longcase clock, John Bell, Burnley, the painted arch dial decorated with pink roses in the spandrels beneath a sun/moon arch with vignettes of a paddle steamer and an Alpine scene, eight-day movement, within a hood with swan-neck pediment, the door flanked by baluster turned columns, the broad trunk with ogee arched door on a base with scroll-carved apron, with winder, weights and pendulum. A George III Scottish black japanned tavern clock, late 18th century, the painted 22.5" wooden dial with Roman numerals and Arabic outer dial, above a trunk with Chinoiserie decoration of pavilions signed "David Norrie, Leith" above the door, single weight driven movement with weight, loss to dial frame. A handsome George III joined oak combination cupboard and settle or "Bacon Settle", c. 1760, with moulded cornice above a projecting three panel top fitted to the reverse with a pair of cupboard doors, the six panel back with cupboard behind fitted with a single six-panel door, over a box seat between outscrolled arms over an arrangement of four drawers, on a block base. 206cm by 130cm by 60cm
