Elizabeth Murch, Honiton, a mahogany longcase clock, the 8-day movement striking the hours on a bell, with the twelve-inch square silvered dial signed E. Murch, Honiton, with black Roman numerals and Arabic five-minute markings, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the plain case with a long trunk door, flat-top hood with swan-neck crest and columns, 94in (239cm) high. Provenance: the vendor is descended from the Murch family, it has been in her family since the 19thC, she wanted it to return to the area.

Benham, Cullompton, with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the plain case with a long trunk door, arched hood with broken swan-neck pediment, 83in (211cm) high. Provenance: This clock has been in the Gouldsworthy family since the 19thC, they were farmers living in a thatched cottage, 'Splatt Hayes' in Buckerell near Honiton; the vendor is descended from this family and wanted it to return to the area.
