Set of London Underground enamel STOCK-NUMBER PLATES from a complete 4-car unit of 1962-Tube Stock comprising Driving Motor Cars 1460 & 1461, Trailer 2460 and Non-Driving Motor Car 9461. These plates were located inside the end of each car above the inter-communicating door. In very good, ex-use condition, a few paint splashes, easily removed if wished. [4]

John Arthern of Northwich - an early 19th century(?) mahogany longcase clock, the hood having a broken swan-neck pediment and twin pilasters flanking a brass arched 13" dial, signed to silvered mount to arch over rolling moondial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals within cast brass cherub mask spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial, matted and engraved centre with rolling date dial, twin winding holes for a brass four pillar eight day weight driven movement striking on a gong (originally bell strike and later converted), the case having quarter turned fluted pilasters flanking marquetry inlaid panelled door to further marquetry inlaid boxbase, on ogee bracket feet, h.229cm
A George III mahogany bureau bookcase , having a dentil moulded and Gothic arcaded cornice over twin astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the base having sloping fall opening to reveal well-fitted chequer strung interior, over three further long graduated drawers, w.102cm, d.59cm, h.221cm. Crack to bottom left corner of glass to right hand door beside lock.Split to back left bracket foot.Faded and with gauge to right side of the base.Several knocks and marks to the fallfront, consistent with age.Fallfront slightly warped.Small piece of mahogany spliced in to bottom left corner of upper section.
A mid-19th century French secrétaire à abattant, having a frieze drawer over a crossbanded fallfront, opening to reveal a fitted interior in faded rosewood of centre cupboard door and five marquetry fronted drawers, all over three further long drawers and within three-quarter spiral turned and reeded columns, on lion paw feet, w.100cm, d.56cm, h.159cm. Splits to the exterior of the fallfront.Escutcheon missing from base drawer.Moulding broken/missing from bottom of right side.Veneer missing from back edge of top.
