Painted wooden coach painted 'Curtis Maidstone London' with fully fitted interior (lacking one door), painted underneath with 'Smith Builder, London -32'. The company J R Smith was a family firm established in 1881 specialising in the production of wooden toys. It has two coach drivers with composition heads, wool top coats and brown top boots. The coach is pulled by two pairs of grey horses with real hair mane and tail on green painted wooden plinths with wheels (these are possibly a later addition). Coach length 55cms, 20cms high; horses length 37cms, 20cms high.
