Attributed to Lewis Foreman Day, an Aesthetic movement ebonised striking mantle clock, circa 1880, the circular face painted with stylised floral decoration, enclosed by a hinged glazed door, encased in a carved wooden case inset with porcelain panels painted with flowers in blue and gilt, the movement housed behind a hinged door to reverse with brass plaque stamped '1947' 53 x 33cm (21 x 13in)
An 18th century mahogany longcase clock by William Musgrave of Leeds. With broken arched pediment and orb finial and long cross-banded door on box base with ogee arched feet. The brass dial has brass spandrels, engraved boss with makers name, chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Two-train, eight-day movement. 229 x 56 cm. A mid 19th century mahogany longcase clock by John Cameron, Kilmarnock (1836-9). The straight stepped canopy with semi-circular door, painted dial with rural scenes depicting 'Spring', 'Summer', 'Harvest', 'Winter' and the 'Pass of Killiecrankie'. The dial is also painted with Roman numerals and has two subsidiary dials with Arabic numerals (for seconds and days of the month). Trunk with long door on square box base. Eight-day, two-train movement, striking on a single bell. 214 x 56cm. Condition reports are not available for our Interiors Sales.
