A Large Flemish Antique Oak Cupboard having two upper & two lower doors divided by split baluster pilasters with carved paterae to the tenon blocks. The moulded breakfront base fitted with two drawers and raised on heavy turned ball feet. Each door centred by an alto relief carved Apostle stood on a protuberant platform framed by guilloche arches with geometric moulding, and ornamented with appliqués 77 ins height, 55 ins wide and 19 ins deep (196 cms x 140 cms x 48 cm).
A Fine 18th Century Joined Oak Wall Cupboard. The moulded cornice enhanced by a scalloped band of chip carving above a fielded panel door with small twin upper panels and a single panel below, opening to reveal a fitted interior housing small drawers and arcaded pigeon holes surrounding a central open compartment. The sides having chamfered corners nail-punched with ornamentation. 25 ins (64 cms) high, 23 1/2 ins (60 cms) wide and 11 ins (28 cms) deep.
A Fine Charles II Joined Oak & Yew Westmoreland Court Cupboard dated 1683. The moulded cornice above a frieze of crossed elongated S-scrolls and chip carved fronds with the initials ITD and dated 1683 either side of a central daisy wheel. The turned pendant side finials overhanging a recessed upper cupboard with richly patinated yew-wood doors embellished with interlaced S-scrolls flanking a panel of entwined figures of eight in a run-moulded & chip-carved frame. The base section fitted with two upper cupboard twin-panel doors flanking a single central panel above side panels flanking a single twin-panel door, raised on stile supports. Branded with initials WA, 71 ins (180 cms) wide, 63 1/2 ins (161 cms) in height.
An Attractive Carved Oak Wall Cupboard. The arcaded door having a recessed centre panel carved with a flowering plant beneath a scallop edged arch with wrythen whorls adorning the corners and palmate carving to the pilasters. The outer frame enriched with guilloche bands and punchwork, 25 1/2 ins (65 cms) high, 22 ins (56 cms) wide and 9 3/4 ins (25 cms) deep.
A Late 17th Century Joined Oak Spindled Food Cupboard with a moulded top & base, a ventilated central panel inset with a row of turned spindles and flanked by two small cupboard doors on iron butterfly hinges. The door panels drilled with perforations and contained in run moulded frames, 16 ins (41 cms) high, 49 ins (125 cms) wide and 11 ins (28 cms) deep.
A Fine 17th Century Two Door Carved Oak Wall Cupboard. The square door panels centred by daisy wheels emitting diagonal spurs of graduated triangles with geometric motifs to the sides defined against a recessed matted ground. The door frames enriched with bands of chip carving and hung on iron butterfly hinges. The uprights with further chip carved decoration between a moulded top & base. The concave fronted internal shelf edged with a bentwood strip, 19 ins (48 cms) high, 39 ins (99 cms) wide and 10 ins (25.5 cms) deep.
A Large & Imposing Late 17th Century English Oak Court Cupboard of deep rich colour & patination. The overhanging top frieze carved with the initials ATF, date 1692 and daisy wheels in a scallop edged rebate with pitted ground, flanked by carved S-scrolls and hung with turned pendant ball finials each end. The upper cupboard enclosed behind twin geometrically moulded centre panels and two geometric cupboard doors. The base composed of two sections with two single panel doors flanking a central twin panel above a central twin-panelled door flanked by side panels. The framework enriched with run moulding, 76 ins (193 cms) high, 73 1/2 ins (187 cms) wide and 24 ins (61 cms) deep.
An Imposing 17th Century Carved Oak Buffet on bulbous cup & cover legs. The upper frieze ornamented with a row of S-scroll crosses and leafy quatrefoils above a central door flanked by arcaded side panels. The door panel having an applied carving of woman within a gadrooned frame. The side panels centred by relief carved head & shoulders of men under boldly carved arches. The dividing pilasters adorned with demi-lune flower heads above pendant leaves and small square panels of strapwork centred by wrythen whorls. The end panels gouged with guilloche knots and having scalloped bands enhanced with punchwork running down the stiles. The heavy bulbous front supports carved with acanthus to the cup turnings capped with gadrooned covers bearing square Ionic scroll capitals. The rear stiles embellished with strap work arabesques and leading down to a pot shelf below on carved & run-moulded rails. 57 ins (145 cms) High, 54 ins (137 cms) wide and 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A Fine Mid 17th Century Carved Oak Buffet. The top having a moulded edge above a row of applied diagonally cut dentil blocks, a frieze fitted with two lunette carved drawers and supported on bulbous side posts; the cup & cover turnings enriched with flower heads and acanthus leaves. The cupboard door centred by a protuberant flower-head radiating petals in a gouge carved frame embellished with punchwork. The canted side panels carved with fanned blooms, daisy wheels and curved leaves defined against a recessed ground. The mid-way frieze having a long drawer with lunette carving reflecting the frieze above, and boldly carved base moulding raised on cup & cover front posts enriched with layers of imbricated leaves and acanthus leading down to a pot shelf below, 46 ins (117 cms) high, 49 ins (125 cms) wide and 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A 19th Century Dutch Dark Stained Beech-wood Foot-warmer of rectangular form intricately decorated with geometric chip carved roundels, fanned corner motifs, chequer-work and chevroned edge moulding incorporating the date Anno 1843. The top fretted with a central interlaced knot and fitted with a brass swing carrying handle. The front door on pivots with a wooden catch and the initials RVP gouged into the interior, 8 is (20 cms) in height, 10 ins (25.5 cms) wide and 7 1/2 ins (19 cms) deep.
