Original invoice for Duncan Edwards' purchase of his first motor car on 21st November 1957, from the Paragon Motor Co. of Oldham and for the purchase of a new Morris Minor four door saloon de luxe finished in black with red upholstery, the invoice listing further details to chassis and engine numbers and other items, the total price including tax being seven hundred and seven pounds seventeen shillings and four pence, payment was made by cash including a deposit of £620 which is receipted; sold together with a driving licence issued by Lancashire County Council on 28th December 1957, curiously the licence is named to Mr William Edwards (as opposed to Duncan) but to his home address 19 Gorse Avenue, Stretford, surely questioning it's validity, an administration error surely, and a road test report for the Morris Minor 1000, published by the Motor magazine, (3)Lots 669 to 710Provenance: The Molly Leech Collection.
