An early 19th Century French porcelain cased mantel clock by Berton of Paris, the 3.25ins gilt engine turned dial with Roman numerals to the eight day two train movement with silk suspension striking on a bell, contained in green glazed porcelain case, the crest moulded with a basket of fruit and with lions mask handles to sides, the front panel painted with two young lovers in a boudoir within gilt leaf scroll borders, 17ins high, and with an associated rectangular glass dome with hardwood base, 24ins high overall Note : Berton of Paris recorded late 18th Century to 1825, maker of a Cartel clock in the Ministre de la Marine in Paris
