Nameplate PILTON ex 0-6-0ST built by Avonside Engine Co. as their number 1832 of 1919. It was sent new to Pilton Quarries in Rutland, situated adjacent the MR Manton Junction to Peterborough line between Manton and Luffenham. When the quarry was closed in June 1969, PILTON was removed to G.Cohen Cransley Sidings near Kettering and scrapped in November of that year. Rectangular cast brass measures 25.75in x 6.25in lightly face restored.

Worksplate HUNSLET ENGINE Coy LEEDS No 541 1891 ex Quarry Hunslet, Alice Class 0-4-0 ST 1foot 10.75in gauge. Delivered new to Dinorwic Quarry Llanberis North Wales and originally called No 1 and later named Rough Pup, it worked on the Pen Garret level of the quarry. It left the quarry on 15th June 1968 and went to the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum at Tywyn where it still is an is considered to be the most original condition Quarry Hunslet in existence. Oval hand engraved brass measures 9.5in x 6.75in in lightly cleaned condition stamped R in the back but also painted L ! so maybe it was fitted on both sides at some point.

Delivered new to Dinorwic Quarry Llanberis North Wales and named Maid Marian, it worked on the Pen Garret level of the quarry. It left the quarry in 1967 and operated at the Bressingham Steam Museum from 1967 to 1971, before going to the Llanberis Lake Railway until 1975, and then to the Bala Lake Railway. Oval cast brass measures 11.5in x 8.25in lightly face restored.

Worksplate NYDQUIST & HOLM A.B. OVERHETTARE SCHMIDTS SYSTEM TROLLHATTAN No1688 1923. Ex standard gauge 2-6-2T, class J no.25 built for the Göteborg-Borås Järnväg railway which only had 21 engines and upon electrification in 1937 no. 25 & sister engine no.24, were sold to the Borås-Alvesta Järnväg, where it retained its number 25. When the BAJ was nationalised in 1940 it became Statens Järnväger (SJ) class S6 no.1613. This attractive style of plate was discontinued shortly after this date. 'Schmidts System' refers to its superheater & patent. Rectangular cast brass measuring 10in x 5in. Face restored.

Cast brass measures 15in x 8in face cleaned with traces of red and blue paint. A very rare pattern only used for a very short time and only the second of this type to appear at auction.
