An original Propeller and Engine (part) from a Messerschmitt BF 100 heavy Fighter Plane, shot down during the Battle of Britain, 1940, along the South Coast of England near Poole, 180cms (71") long. (1)* Onlookers related to the local newspaper how the pilots plane was hit by a Spitfire, and flew his stricken aircraft upside down along the shoreline,and eventually bailed out landing in the sea. He was rescued and taken to the hospital at Poole. He served time as prisoner of war and then became integrated into the local community.
