This low mileage Bonneville has been in dry storage since its last MOT expired in June 2014. A 1988 Honda CBX 550 F II, registration number E696 WUB, frame number PC04000906, engine number PC04E1000816, red and white. This incredibly low mileage CBX 550 F II has formed part of a private collection. It is presented in original condition apart from the battery and tyres which were replaced in March 2006, when the mileage was recorded at 1,931 miles. The last MOT was passed in July 2009, when the recorded mileage read 2,006 miles, so only a mere 50 miles have been added to the odometer in the last ten years. This time warp Honda is offered for auction, with a history file and original sales brochure. V5C, no MOT See illustration
A 1939 HRD Vincent Series A Meteor, registration number HJO 760, frame number D1759, engine number M673, maroon and black, the ex Alex Moulton rubber heel prototype. This historically significant Series A Meteor was despatched from the factory on 29-6-39 to Kings of Oxford. The original order form (copy on file) states that it was fitted with a Burman gearbox (XBAPH no number noted), Brampton forks, a Miller magneto and lighting set, an Amal carburettor, TT handle bars, TT aluminium mud guards, a TT stainless petrol tank (would appear to have been fitted with a standard steel tank from new), a 120 mph speedometer, duo brakes, a Dunlop saddle, a low exhaust pipe and a pillion seat. The 499cc engine was fitted with oil pump BD618 and a Levis 4 X camshaft, and a Specialloid 7/6 piston. Unfortunately the early history after the initial despatch to Kings of Oxford is unknown until D1759 came into the possession of Mr Alex Moulton, the inventor from Bradford on Avon who was in possession of the motorcycle after the second world war. He would subsequently use the Vincent as a test bed for his rubber heel rear suspension (article on file Motor Cycling November 1947). Mr Moulton would retain ownership until 1985 when Mr Christopher Edwards (deceased), an engineer and Vincent Owner's Club member purchased it direct from him. From information taken from the history it can be seen that Mr Edwards undertook a considerable amount of research before starting a full nut and bolt restoration to an extremely high standard. There are letters on file from the historian Bob Stafford amongst others outlining the original specification of the motorcycle. Mr Edwards commenced the restoration in approximately 1998 and there is correspondence with DVLA to retain the original registration number (non transferable). Mr Edwards was unfortunately unable to complete the restoration due to ill health, but another close friend, the legendary trials rider Sammy Miller kindly finished the restoration for Mr Edwards' widow (receipt on file for £2,326.75 dated 4-11-14). Since completing the restoration the Vincent has only been started with a slave petrol supply (the petrol tank has not be used) and it is advised that the next custodian should undertake a final shake down and light recommissioning before the motorcycle goes into use. The vast accompanying history file contains copies of the original bill and order forms, correspondence with Bob Stafford, a February 1985 MPH magazine (No 433) where the motorcycle is featured, original tax discs from 1947, 48, 49 and 50 when the Vincent was last believed to have been licensed, photographs, receipts, general correspondence, original handbook and dating certificate. This fastidiously restored and historically significant Vincent is now available for the first time in over 30 years and would be an excellent addition to any collection. V5, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations
EXTRA LOT: A circa 1965 DMW 250cc scrambler, blue. This DMW has been restored and formed part of a private collection. It features DMW's own version of the Villers engine with their own patent head and barrel. No paperwork See illustration

The middleweight 400/Four was one of Honda's most successful machines of the 1970s. They appealed to mature riders and were in affect a scaled down version of the iconic 750/Four. This example has had one previous owner prior to the vendor purchasing it in 2013. It had covered a mere 4,730 miles when purchased and had been in storage for a number of years, now the odometer reads less than 5,500 miles. The vendor has recommissioned the motorcycle and it passed its MOT without advisories in April 2016. The Honda comes to auction with an original owner's manual, previous tax discs and sundry paperwork. This very original Honda is now ready to be enjoyed by a new owner. V5C, MOT to April 2017 See illustration

Due to its time in storage, the vendor advises giving the motorcycle a check over before submitting it for its next MOT. A 1959 DOT TDHX Trials bike, unregistered, green. Dating from 1959, this TDHX model is a beautiful example of the marque in its prime. It was a subject of a superb nut and bolt restoration by a well known DOT enthusiast, which was completed in 2013. No expense was spared in the restoration which included: engine and gearbox professionally restored by Villiers Services Wolverhampton; frame, tank, and hubs professionally finished by Paintwork Express of Cambridge; rebuilt wheels with new aluminium valenced rims and stainless steel spokes; all bearings and seals were replaced; stainless steel fasteners were used throughout and the seat is trimmed in leather. The attention to detail is exceptional throughout and it remains in excellent condition. Since completion it has formed part of a private collection of pre 65 British trials bikes and has been used for demonstration runs. It has however not been run for around a year, as the vendor has sadly decided his riding days are over, so it would benefit from a routine service and safety checks before use. This is a scarce and historically important motorcycle in excellent condition. Restoration to a similar standard today would cost far more than the guide price and this is a rare opportunity for the collector and classic trials enthusiast. No accompanying paperwork as it is a competition motorcycle not intended for road use. See illustration
A 1937 Sunbeam Model 8 Sport 350cc, registration number VY 9476, black. This charming Model 8 is one of the last Wolverhampton built Sunbeams, first registered in April 1937. The work included: frame stripped and powder coated, engine rebored using Royal Enfield piston, new main and big end bearings, new valves, tank and mud guards painted and gold leaf lined, new clutch, relined brakes, new chains and new tyres. Since restoration the Sunbeam has covered around 1,000 miles and remains in good riding order. It runs on CR for that unmistakable pre-war aroma. A quality machine that is still very usable today and ready to be used on club runs or to attend shows. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration
A 1977 Suzuki Beamish RL325 trials combination, registration number FWL 40S, frame number 22510, engine number 22527, yellow. This ex Colin Hare, Windsor Comp Shop, combination has been owned by Spike Durrant since purchased from Windsor Comp Shop in 1980. Previously to Spike's purchase it was competed by Roger Martin and Colin Bennett and was allegedly ridden into a swimming pool by Freddie Starr. In Spike's ownership the combination was competed in Southern Centre events and Horsham & District M.C. & L.C.C events before being laid up. Spike has recently finished a full restoration to an extremely high standard and is now only reluctantly selling it due to him not being able to ride it any longer. The accompanying history file contains an original manual and parts list, photographs of the restoration, original service manual and general correspondence. V5, no MOT See illustration

A 1957 BSA Bushman Major D3, registration number 955 JTW, frame number CD313428, engine number ED781772, green. This rare BSA was restored by a previous owner. From documented evidence it can be seen that in 1968 the original engine was changed for a 175cc example. In the current ownership the BSA has been used very sparingly and is only for sale because the vendor has purchased a more modern machine. There is an accompanying history file with previous MOTs, receipts, SORN, handbooks and workshop manuals. RF60, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration

The Honda is offered with a history file containing receipts, expired MOTs, SORNs and V5. V5C, no MOT See illustrations
A 1929 AJS M1 De-Luxe 996cc V-twin, registration number VP 6618, frame number 61217, engine number 61217, black/pink. In single family ownership since 1964, this extremely rare top of the range M1 De-Luxe was offered for sale in 1929 at an eye watering £76 10s 0d. It comes direct from a private collection of British motorcycles and has formed part of the collection since 1964. Purchased as a restoration project it was restored between 1964 through to 1970 by the vendor's father. The AJS saw regular service until 1995, when it was laid up, before coming out of storage in 2010 and the motorcycle was recommissioned. The engine was re-bored, and new pistons were installed a few years ago, and on our recent visit, the motorcycle started easily from cold and sounded very healthy. Over the previous winter, the vendor has fitted a new clutch, primary and final drive chains, to this end the vendor advises that the clutch will need bedding in and adjusting after a few 100 miles. The vendor describes the AJS as being very original and fully matching numbers. The M1 is offered for auction with an accompanying history file containing photocopies of the original restoration notes, RF60, V5, a previous MOT, receipt and SORNs. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations
