RARE 1962 HEINKEL KABINE Registration Number - 566 LJH Chassis Number - SR8004 Engine Number - 1522501 The Heinkel Kabine was a microcar designed by Heinkel Flugzeugwerke and built by them from 1956 to 1958. Production was transferred under licence to Dundalk Engineering Company in Ireland in 1958. However, the licence was withdrawn shortly afterwards due to poor quality control. Production restarted in 1960, again under licence, under the Trojan 200 name by Trojan Cars Ltd. in the UK, and continued until 1966. Provenance: This car was used in the ITV series 'LUCKY FELLER' featuring David Jason, which ran for just one series of 13 episodes. The storyline features two brothers who live in Brockley, South East London. The basic set-up can be seen as a dry run for Only Fools and Horses, except with David Jason playing the "Rodney" part, Bernard 'Shorty' Mepstead. The elder brother, Randolph 'Randy' Mepstead, is played by Peter Armitage (Nicky Henson in the pilot episode). Shorty is naive, hopeful and in love with a girl named Kathleen Peake (Cheryl Hall). She is infatuated with - and thinks she is pregnant by - Randy. Despite her attraction to Randy, she becomes engaged to Shorty and has to make him believe that he is the father. But despite her best attempts, and Shorty's feelings for her, this never happens, and in the final episode it becomes clear that Kath is not pregnant. Guest stars include Pat Heywood, Prunella Scales and Mike Grady as well as international stars such as Burt Kwouk and Saeed Jaffrey. The show was directed by both Gerry Mill and Mike Vardy and was mainly filmed in and around South London. The show was offered a second series; however, writer Terence Frisby did not feel he had enough ideas for the series to continue, so the show was axed after the final episode. The car was purchased from the production company by the second owners grandfather and subsequently to the present owner approximately 12 years ago. The paperwork accompanying the vehicle includes the original owners manual and V5C registration certificate.
1990 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL CONVERTIBLE Chassis number - SCBZD00A1LCH30254 Engine number - 72001L4101/NEL Registration number - H179 DUF The Bentley Continental was virtually identical to the Rolls-Royce Corniche that was produced from 1971-1995. It carried both closed and open two-door body styles. Essentially being the coupe and convertible versions of the T1 and T2, the Bentley used the T1's unibody construction. The car was smaller and squarer than early models, though the Continental was aimed at buyers who insisted on coachbuilt bodies. The design took four months to build, and two weeks alone were spent just creating the convertible's top. Powered by a 6750cc fuel-injected OHV V-8, and although the car weighed almost three tons it reached a top speed of 120 mph, with 0-60 mph reached in fewer than ten seconds. This stunning example has covered just over 130,000 Miles and has just two previous owners from new.
