A Victorian silver vinaigrette, Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1838, the hinged cover with cast depiction of Abbotsford castle amongst foliage, with conforming border and engine turned detail to base, the gilt interior revealing profusely engraved and pierced grille with flower and scrolling decoration, 4cm long, 0.8oztCondition report; Marks clear and visible. High points have worn through due to over-polishing (visible from the images - more so the turrets of the castle). Hinge repaired but opens and closes well. General rubbing to the surface can be seen. Interior appears bright.
