A 7" gauge live steam 0-4-2 tank engine and passenger carriage. In green livery and named Bridget. Constructed by T. W. Johnson 1974, Forest Hall, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Locomotive 93cm long. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. No boiler certificate. Running condition unknown, appears in a good state of repair.
Ormolu fusee repeater mantle clock, engine turned circular form mounted by acanthus loop handle, Silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals, raised on elaborate scrolling brackets, plinth base, bun feet, signed "Beier In Wien", W 14cm, H 21cm, D 7cm Condition Report When repeat button pressed, chiming doesn't stop. General scuffs and scrapes to case. Small chips to outside rim of glass. Front hinge bent, drops when opened. Left bracket has later pin to top. A George III silver presentation plate, makers mark poorly struck, London 1787, with a shaped gadrooned border, diameter 24.5 cm, weight 13.5 oz. Scratched to the underside "No 19 * 14". Inscribed "Presented to, Mrs T. Tulloch, by Cochrane & Sons Limited, Selby, at the launch of M.T. Collena, 14th September 1954." The M.T. Collena was the first of three middle water trawlers, in 1971 she suffered major engine troubles off Iceland and was broken up in 1972.
A Bluebird K7 Bristol Siddeley Orpheus gas turbine stator blade mounted on a Coniston slate base. The Orpheus engine fitted into in the hydroplane K7 gave for the 1966/1967 attempt on Coniston Water gave 'cathodic' protection to the sunken hull and frame of the craft by being eroded over the 34 years it was submerged in the lake. This heavily eroded blade was recovered from the hull of the vessel at the start of the restoration, after vessel recovery took place in 2001. A signed letter of authenticity is part of this lot. Donated by Don Wales who has signed the carry box produced by carpenter Neil Gilfillan
