A William IV silver table snuff box, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1835, of rectangular form with raised foliate borders and reeded sides and base and leafy scroll thumbpiece, gilt interior, 8.5cm long, 4oz CONDITION REPORT: No obvious major fault. Some rubbing and surface scratches. Detail rubbed to lid. Both engine turned bands and raised foliage.
A gold Swiss fob watch with hand engraved gold dial, the watch 27mm diameter, with engraved floral dial, black Roman numerals and blued spade hands. Hand engraved and engine turned back case with vacant cartouche, case no. 7513, marked K18, Swiss mark for 18ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Slight wear to the bow. Some loss of enamel to the numerals. Some small dents to the case sides. A tear to the chenier of the hinge of the back case. Lots of movement because of this. Shallow dents to the back case.
An American full hunter gold pocket watch, the case 42mm diameter, with a hand engraved foliate case to an engine turned ground. Hand engraved initials M.W.M. to the front cover, landscape scene to the central escutcheon on the back cover. White enamel dial signed American Watch Co, black Roman numerals, subsidiary dial and blued spade hands. Case No. 71560, gold cuvette, movement signed Amer. Watch Co., Riverside, Waltham Mass, no. 873744, patent pinion, marked K18 CONDITION REPORT: Numerous hairline cracks to the dial. Very shallow dents to the front cover. A little movement at the hinges.
An Art Deco 9ct gold rectangular hinged cigarette case, 88 x 71mm, rounded corners with bevelled edge and engine turned fine barley decoration to both sides. Slide action clasp. Hand engraved facsimile message to the inside 'Remony 11-12-35'. Hallmarked 9ct gold, London 1927 CONDITION REPORT: 96.2g approximately.
A ladies 9ct gold Omega mechanical bracelet watch, an oval, champagne, raised baton dial, with wavy engine turned finish. Winding crown rub set with a cabochon tiger's eye. Integral tapered Milanese bracelet with basket weave decoration to a ladder snap clasp. 711.5546 BL, model no. 8438 340 38 777317, movement no. caliber 625 CONDITION REPORT: There is a slight twist to the bracelet due to it having been wound on the wrist. Surface marks to the bezel and case. Winds and ticking - no guarantee given.
Maritime interest: S.S. Lancastria, an enamel-mounted white metal cigarette box, the hinged cover inset with a polychrome engine-turned enamel plaque in Arts & Crafts taste. Note: the S.S. Lancastria was a Cunard liner launched in 1920. It was used as a troop ship during World War II and was notoriously sunk with the loss of thousands of lives off St. Nazaire, France, in June 1940.
