1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce Transmission: manualMileage:75791The Giulia 105 Series Coupé was first shown to the motoring press on 9th September 1963, at the new Arese works in Milan and was mechanically based on the TI saloon (Berlina). Known as the Sprint GT, later versions were introduced that included the GT Veloce and 1750 GTV. June 1971 saw the replacement of the 1750 GTV with the 2000 GTV, the new model being presented at Gardone. A larger displacement engine of 1962cc in the new 2000 GTV saw power increase over its predecessor that now gave 132bhp and a top speed of more than 120mph. The greater low speed torque and larger flexibility at higher revs is a feature of this 2.0 litre capacity engine. Externally a new horizontal front grille incorporated the Alfa shield and the rear wing line was revised giving a slightly sleeker look, 'Biscione' (serpent-eating-a-man), badges adorned the rear pillars and the rear light clusters were enlarged. The interior trim was revised with velour cloth material or leatherette for the seats and the instruments were grouped into one cluster to enable easier and quicker scanning of the instruments. Production ceased in 1976.The Alfa Romeo archive confirms that this incredibly original and unmodified, time warp 2000 GT Veloce, was delivered new to Cyprus and then to its first owner, a Mr. Ghinis through the Demandes Brothers Alfa Romeo dealership in September 1973, (the Cypriot cars were an identical specification to the U.K. examples, even including the heated rear screen option). A publisher by trade, Mr. Ghinis used the car to travel Europe for work including trips to the U.K. Italy and Greece. The supplied original service coupon book shows service stamps in Bristol, Athens and Cyprus, verifying the cars early travels. Mr. Ghinis clearly saw the value in looking after his car, as can be seen by the condition it remains in today. Upon Mr. Ghinis' death in 1999, his widow couldn't bear to part with the car and thus kept it in storage for 15 years, until in 2014 when it was sold and brought to the U.K. (for the second time)! It was at this time the car underwent a sympathetic recommissioning with Alfa Romeo specialists Autodelta, that included a full brake overhaul, carburettor strip and rebuild along with a full service. Since then, the car has been owned by Alfa Romeo enthusiasts, who have spared no expense on maintaining the car's incredible condition and originality. The entire structure and all the factory panels remain, as do all the factory spot welds. The condition of the bodyshell can only be described as exceptional with the sills, arches and valances all in excellent order. Looking around the car, it is hard to find fault. The interior, wheels and bodywork all present beautifully. The interior carpets are original, the dash uncracked and the seats unblemished. Indeed, the vendor reports the car to run and drive faultlessly, with the two litre twin cam engine pulling strongly. The substantial history files that accompany the car includes many original documents for its life in Cyprus and right up to the present day.Supplied with a V5C registration document, sizable file of receipts, MoT test certificates and its original service books, handbooks and many other interesting items. An opportunity to acquire such an original and well documented 2000 GT Veloce is incredibly rare and as such, an opportunity not to be missed.

1970 Lotus Europa Transmission: manualMileage:9926The Lotus Europa used Lotus founder Colin Chapman's minimalist steel backbone chassis that was first used in the Elan, while also relying on its fibreglass moulded body for structural strength, and was based on a prototype built to compete for Henry Ford II's contract to build a Le Mans racing car in the early 1960's. The four-wheel independent suspension was typical of Chapman's thinking. The rear suspension was a modified Chapman strut, as used for Chapman's earlier Formula racing car designs with the handling prompting automotive writers to describe the Europa as the nearest thing to a Formula car for the road. The Series One was announced for sale in 1966 and was fitted with a modified Renault 16, 1470cc, inline-four engine and a four-speed gearbox. The Europa was designed and built to be an embodiment of Chapman's often stated philosophy of automotive design; simplify, then add lightness. This lovely 1970 Lotus Europa has had over £34,000 spent on restoration works over the last ten years. This included a new Spyder chassis with the Renault Fuego transaxle conversion. All new wishbones and suspension with coil-over shocks, new bushes, bearings etc. The engine was replaced with the revered Renault 807 Gordini style alloy engine, fitted with twin 40 DCOE Weber carburettors and a four-branch sports exhaust system. Repainted in yellow with the interior restored in black and yellow leather and the dashboard refurbished. The car is fitted with electric windows, central locking with an alarm immobiliser and a period looking digital radio and also the car's alloy wheels have been refurbished. The Lotus Europa is a classic sports car that was ahead of its time in terms of design and performance. Its lightweight body, powerful engine, and excellent handling make it a beloved car among enthusiasts and collectors alike.

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Restomod Transmission: manualMileage:160819€œThere is no greater visceral driving experience, it is often argued, than can be had in a Porsche 911€. A quote often used by motoring journalists for the simple reason than that it is true. This is also the reason that the 3.2 litre Carrera is the basis for many performance upgrades and, more recently, the advent of the 'Restomod'. These are modern cars that often hark back to the classic 2.7 litre RS or IROC (International Race of Champions) tribute in the US or classic cars with modern underpinnings. What lifts one example head and shoulders above another, however, is usually the attention to detail and the accompanying investments made. A bodykit simply won't do but continue to read and you will see that this vendor, in particular, has gone to extreme lengths to put together a car that not only looks incredible but is easy to live with and performs like a Le Mans racer when asked to. Based on a 1985 3.2 litre Carrera Sport chassis, this 911 is a great example of impact bumper upgradery with a torquey 3.6 litre, 964 RS specification engine initially inputted by Bob Watson Porsche but latterly rebuilt by air-cooled specialist, Nick Fulljames of Redtek, to give 292bhp combined with hugely increased lightness. Kitted out with the Tuthill six-pot brakes and super compliant EXE-TC fully adjustable road tarmac rally suspension and combined with recent Continental Contisport Contact tyres (consistently voted Evo Tyre of the Year). The 915 gearbox was rebuilt in full and connected to a Quaife limited slip differential with a bespoke undertray fabricated by John Williams whilst still offering a forgiving ride height which most modern sportscars simply won't rival. It benefits from a recent oil service, filters and Ferodo racing brake pads. Although recording just over 160,000 on the odometer, in reality, there are just over 30,000 on the new engine fitted in 2012 as is documented in the paperwork alongside the brand-new heat exchangers. The output and ECU mapping set-up is by Porsche/BMW engine mapping specialists, Wayne Scofield of Chipwizards. It has then been detailed by Gary Cook at GDC Automotive (Ex-Autofarm) and further improvements and service by Tuthill's and Leigh at Carrera Porsche. The interior benefits from Recaro Sportster CS seats, centre console delete, black headliner, sunroof and, as you would image, a recent bare metal respray in Blood Orange. There is also a new Momo deep-dish 350mm suede steering wheel, upgraded LED headlights and a heated front windscreen running on a ten-minute timed delay. An original Porsche immobiliser and alarm with three keys, a new battery and kill switch are included as is a Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB head unit paired to Auto Audio fitted speakers with Bluetooth and USB port, a high-quality breathable car-cover and an additional IROC-style spoiler for that different look. A huge history file, including the original purchase receipt from AFN Chiswick, completes this hugely competent classic offering everything that is required in this RS or IROC-specification Porsche, depending on how you feel. HPI clear and with a full and comprehensive history file, this represents significantly more than just the sum of its parts.

1936 Mercedes-Benz 170V Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:The Mercedes-Benz 170V (W136) was the company's chief four-cylinder offering from 1935 through to 1955. It was available in saloon, cabriolet, roadster, cabrio-limousine and even pickup and van guises. Pre-1950 the range was powered by an engine of 1697cc capacity. Total production of the W136 line numbered some 158,196 units. This wonderful left hand drive 170V two-seater is believed to be one of only 13 dickie-seat versions remaining of circa 250 produced. It is thought to have come off the production line in 1936 and subsequently brought to the UK by its first keeper, a Baron Von Rautenburg, the then consul of the German embassy in London. First UK registered just nine days before the outbreak of WWII. While much of the history has sadly been lost, there are some early images of the car whilst owned by its second keeper an A J Ray Whiteway, who was Chairman of the Mercedes-Benz Club from 1963 to 1970. They even include shots of the car competing in the club's first ever concours d'elegance, which was held at Gerrards Cross in 1953. Club records suggest it was then owned by a D S D Lenoir before being acquired by the vendor in 1974. He apparently purchased it as a non-runner for £1,000 and had it restored in Oxfordshire, during which the colour was changed from white to its current livery of brown over yellow. The black vinyl interior trim is believed to be original and we understand the existing engine is, however, a 44bhp post-war unit of 1701cc, that appears to have been installed in the late 1960's / early 1970's. Evidently it has only done 200 miles since being thoroughly rebuilt some five years ago, at which time the brake system was overhauled and the clutch was inspected but deemed to be in good order. Recent maintenance has included the replacement of the water pump, front wheel bearings and tyres, while within the last 200 miles a reconditioned differential has been purchased from Germany and installed. The vendor now considers the powerplant and manual transmission to be in very good order.Black and white images by kind permission of the Mercedes-Benz Club Archives.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, this example has not run in circa five years and as such general recommissioning will be required. However, prior to this five-year period the Mercedes was treated to a mechanical restoration, and we believe only light recommissioning will be required.

1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth Transmission: manualMileage:37000The Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a performance-oriented version of the Sierra family car produced by Ford Europe in the mid-1980s. The car was developed by Ford's motorsport division, which aimed to create a high-performance vehicle that could compete in rallies and racing. The Sierra RS Cosworth was equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that produced 204 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. The car was fitted with a limited-slip differential, which helped to improve its handling and traction on both road and track. The exterior of the Sierra RS Cosworth was designed with aerodynamics in mind, featuring a distinctive front grille, a large rear spoiler, and wider wheel arches to accommodate its wider track. Inside, the car was fitted with Recaro bucket seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a range of gauges and dials to monitor the car's performance. The Sierra RS Cosworth proved to be a successful rally car, winning several championships and races throughout the 1980s and 1990's.This rare example of a Ford RS Cosworth has only covered 37,000 miles and has been a labour of love for over 20 years by a father for his son who spent in excess of £80,000 on it. Over that period, every detail has been done, with a new 550bhp engine built by Bluesprint Motorsport, all Group A components throughout, twin fuel pumps, running eight green injectors, large Garrett turbo, large inter-cooler, 7€ rear diff with diff guard. AP brake calipers all round with crossed drilled brake disc and disc bells, also twin master cylinder set-up, Group A billets uprights with coilover fitments, suspension set up wishbone front and rear anti roll bars and links adjustable coilovers etc. The underside of the car has been painted in its body colour, it has a side exit exhaust system, full blue roll cage fitted with full new two-tone leather interior and new alloy wheels with new Falken tyres. The son unfortunately passed away and the car has never been taken on the road since the rebuild and has been taken for an MoT test certificate by trailer. A great one off example for someone who will benefit from all the love and attention this car has had bestowed upon it. A fabulous piece of engineering with shattering performance and great heritage.

1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:59035There is little doubt that Paul Bracq's design for the Sixties 1960s pagoda was revolutionary and his ability to mix timeless styling with high performance on three different levels was impressive. The entry level version used the 2.3 litre engine followed by the 2.5 and finally the most desirable and spirited 2.8 litre, six-cylinder engine. All bonnet panels, door skins, boot lids and tonneau covers were composed of aluminium giving the car an overall lightness which contributed to the performance that was very well received by the general public. It quickly became apparent that some cars don't change, they just get better. The 280 featured the same modified W111 chassis with independent front suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. A charming model with capable handling, these roadsters have had one of the most sublime styling bodies, and easily comparable to Jaguar's E-Type and the Alfa Romeo's Spider. The driving experience and build quality are respected and, as a result, still highly collectable today. Imported into the UK from the United States of America in 2012, this lefthand drive example was completely rust free and registered with an odometer reading, at that time, of 55,454. It was sold to the previous owner who used it for a number of years before putting it away for storage. Since then, it has under gone a complete and ground up restoration by classic and custom car specialists Hot Rod Technologies based in Hayes, Middlesex.Whilst in restoration, the car was brought up to European specification, this included removing the side marker lamps and fitting European-style headlights. It was also finished in the fetching original blue colour, code #903, with matching hardtop, dark blue soft top and a tan leather interior. It also benefits from the original factory air-conditioning unit and is supplied with V5C registration documents, a full photographic restoration included and a 12-month MoT test certificate. These Pagodas are always a pleasure to drive, particularly in good weather when the roof is down and the smooth six-cylinder engine can really be enjoyed.

2014 Porsche 911 / 991 Turbo S Cabriolet Transmission: automaticMileage:17352The Porsche 991 is the internal designation for the seventh generation of the Porsche 911, unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15th September as the replacement for the 997. The 991 was an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 launched in 1963 (the 996 of 1999 was the second new platform). Introduced in 2012, the 991 Turbo has a twin turbocharged 3.8 litre flat-six engine generating 513bhp and 457lb‹…ft of torque with all-wheel drive. The Turbo comes as standard with Porsche's PDK dual clutch transmission and is the first Turbo model to not feature a manual transmission. The car was faster and lighter thanks to greater use of aluminium, but also more comfortable than ever before. The Turbo S in particular is the pinnacle of the 911 range, offering the best balance of comfort and performance before moving towards track orientated models such as the GT3 and GT3 RS.This fabulous Porsche Cabriolet is presented in the delightful colour combination of GT Silver metallic with contrasting red interior and a burgundy roof. Presenting in fabulous, virtually unmarked condition, this Turbo S cabriolet has formed part of a private collection since the vendor purchased the car from Porsche Centre Colchester in August 2018. The car has covered less than three thousand miles since the start of his tenureship. The automatic soft top can be raised or lowered in just 13 seconds and very impressively at speeds of up to 31mph. Service records confirm the low mileage to be correct and the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. The most recent service was carried out by Porsche Brooklands in December 2022. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 17th November 2023. This Porsche 991 Turbo S Cabriolet is exceptional in every aspect.

1969 Porsche 912 Transmission: manualMileage:Manufactured between 1965 and 1969, the Porsche 912 was very much the entry level Porsche sports car. Although, for some time, considered the poorer relation to the 911, the 912 is a serious sports car in its own right. With aerodynamic lines, low weight and an efficient engine, the 912 demonstrated good performance, nimble handling and economy, resulting in initial production cars outselling the 911. The 912 won Car and Driver's 1967 'Readers Choice' Poll for its class, a popular choice for motorsport teams and a rally prepared 912 won its class in the 1967 European Rally Championship. This superb left hand drive example of this highly sought after model is presented in the rare evocative colour of Bahama Yellow with black interior. Its nostalgic sounding 1800cc four-cylinder engine is mated to a five-speed 'dog leg' gearbox. The vendor has just spent circa £2,000 on the car and it comes with a good history file including photographic proof of its restoration. This Porsche is in absolutely stunning condition with the vendor scoring it ten out of ten in terms of quality all round! This is certainly a Porsche for the collector or connoisseur without doubt.

1973 Rolls-Royce Corniche by Mulliner Park Ward Transmission: automaticMileage:The Corniche was Rolls-Royce's coupé and convertible version of the Silver Shadow produced between 1971 and 1996. The Corniche was named 'Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward two-door fixedhead coupé' before 1971 when the Corniche name was applied. The exterior design was by John Polwhele Blatchley. The independent coachmaker James Young had already custom-made a two-door coupé variant of the Silver Shadow, but Young's model proved less popular and was soon discontinued. The model was assembled and finished in London at Mulliner Park Ward as continuation of the 1965 Silver Shadow coupé and 1967 drophead. The Corniche was also sold as a Bentley, though that model became known as the Continental in 1984. The first car to wear the Corniche name was a 1939 prototype based on the Bentley Mk. V which was never produced because of the onset of World War II. The Corniche was available both as a coupé and convertible, with the former discontinued in 1982. The car used the standard Rolls-Royce V8 engine. It had an aluminium-silicon alloy block and aluminium cylinder heads with cast iron wet cylinder liners. The bore was 4.1 inches, and the stroke was 3.9 inches for a total of 6.75 litres. Twin SU carburettors were initially fitted with a single Solex four-barrel carburettor introduced in 1975. A four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs was augmented with a hydraulic self-levelling system at first on all four, but later in the rear wheels only. Four-wheel disc brakes were specified, with ventilated discs added for 1972.This superb example is presented in metallic grey with black leather interior. It was first registered in January 1973 and has had five previous keepers. The present owner bought it in 2006 and then commenced a comprehensive restoration in 2009. This entailed a full bare metal re-spray, complete re-trim in the correct black leather to name a couple of things carried out. There is a good history file accompanying the car showing its extensive service history with invoices showing all expenditure over the last few years. This luxury Mulliner Park Ward coupé is in absolutely superb all-round condition and is certainly one of the finest available today and in the best colour combination.

1999 Ferrari F355 GTS F1 Transmission: automaticMileage:141212The Ferrari F355 was built from May 1994 to 1999 and was an evolution of the Ferrari 348. It is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, V8-powered two-seat coupé. At launch, two models were available; the coupé Berlinetta and the targa topped GTS. The Spider (convertible) version was introduced in 1995. One major difference between the longitudinal V8 in the 348 and that in the 355, apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, is that the F355 features a five valve per cylinder head that is considerably more powerful, producing 375bhp. Ferrari fitted all road-going F355 models with Pirelli tyres; size 225/40ZR 18 front and 265/40 ZR 18 to the rear. The nomenclature does not follow the formula from the previous decades, i.e. engine capacity plus cylinder number for example, the Ferrari 308 name comes from three litres plus eight cylinders, with the same for the 328, 348, 512 etc. This time, Ferrari used engine capacity plus number of valves per cylinder; proud to boast about this technological advancement, with the name 355 coming from 3.5 litres engine capacity and five valves per cylinder. The F355 has become the most popular model so far with over 11,273 cars produced. This Ferrari was registered on the 21st October 1999 and was imported into the UK in September 2020. Presenting in left hand drive and very good condition all-round, this has clearly been a very well looked after vehicle. This history confirms as such and the cambelts were last changed two years ago. The Rosso Corsa paintwork has obviously been refreshed in places, this appears to have been carried out to a good standard. The black leather interior shows minimal wear. It is rare to see Ferrari's having covered such mileage (87,600) which is a shame as they are more than capable of covering the mileage without any real difficulties. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a history folder and a current MoT test certificate valid until 15th December 2023, this Ferrari F355 GTS represents exceptional value for money.

It was a result of a collaboration between Ford and Lotus and was designed for racing and high-performance driving. Under the bonnet, the 1964 Ford Lotus Cortina featured a 1.6 litre twin-cam engine capable of producing up to 105 horsepower, which was mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This engine allowed the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 10 seconds, and reach a top speed of 104 mph. On the outside, the Ford Lotus Cortina featured a distinctive green and white paint scheme, and a number of aerodynamic modifications, including a front spoiler and widened wheel arches. The interior was also updated, with sports seats and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. With its lively performance and distinctive design, it remains a favourite among racing enthusiasts and collectors alike. This stunning example was purchased by our enthusiast vendor from a deceased estate. The family who sold the car knew it needed a full and sympathetic restoration and that our customer was the perfect buyer. The no expense spared restoration process not only involved acid dipping but after all panel work that required replacing was complete it was sent back for a process to protect from any future corroding. The two doors, bonnet and boot lid are original aluminium and this is an original A frame car that has never been raced and is rare as a standard road car. This low ownership example is offered to auction with a V5C registration document, a file containing various bills and correspondence from the Lotus Cortina register and is possibly the finest example we have seen.

1992 Mercedes-Benz SL300 Transmission: automaticMileage:91676In 1989, Mercedes-Benz introduced the fourth generation SL model, the R129, which was supplied in Europe with several engine options and named accordingly. The basic model was the 190hp three litre, inline six-cylinder 300 SL with 12 valves, and the 228hp three litre, inline six-cylinder with 24 valves, known as the 300 SL 24. However, it was the 322hp 500 SL with a five litre V8 engine which made the headlines, only surpassed by the flagship 600 SL with its V12 engine. The specification was high with electric windows, mirrors, seats and roof. The R129 model was the first convertible/roadster to offer the automatic roll-bar deployment in event of rollover, although the motorist could also manually raise and lower the roll-bar should they choose to, thus facilitating the clean look of the R129 without compromising the occupant's safety.Elegantly presented in classic burgundy with a beige leather interior, this 24 valve SL300 has covered 91,676 miles since new. Well specified with electric heated seats and a matching hardtop. Supplied with an MoT test certificate until July 2023 and V5C registration document, this represents a well-cared for example and it ticks all the boxes for classic open touring this summer.Guide Price £15,000-£20,000Interested parties should note that the hood is currently inoperable due to the anti-roll bar being stuck in the upright position, we can hear the clicks from the function but the hydraulics appear to be faulty disabling the ability to use the hard/soft top at this juncture and would require some attention.

2014 Aston Martin Vantage S V12 Transmission: manualMileage:34005On 28th May 2013, Aston Martin announced the V12 Vantage S, a sportier version of the V12 Vantage that preceded it. The V12 Vantage S produces 565bhp and 457lb‹…ft of torque from a revised 5.9 litre V12 engine called the AM28, which would be used as a base for future engines. The power is transferred to the rear wheels using a new seven-speed Sportshift III automated manual transmission. The V12 Vantage S was lighter than the standard V12 Vantage and features new three-stage adaptive damping for the suspension system, new carbon-ceramic brakes, and a unique track-mode for improved performance. Claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 205mph, making it the fastest production Aston Martin at the time alongside the One-77. The exhaust on the V12 Vantage S was also developed from the company's own One-77. Styling and aerodynamic changes include a carbon fibre front grille, black roof and rear grille and lightweight forged alloy wheels. This example of the stunning and ferociously quick Aston Martin V12 S is presented in Onyx Black with black over red stitched trim. First registered on 29th January 2014 with a list price of £138,000, this example has covered a mere 34,005 miles from new. The car was serviced with Aston Martin on four occasions in 2015, 2016,2017 and 2020 and has an MoT test certificate valid until July 2023. These V12 Vantages are incredibly well-honed performance cars with the V12 Vantage already a handful, but this V12 S model has an extra 55bhp from its 6.0 litre engine, taking the total to 565bhp. With the fantastic V12 engine these are genuine modern classics and tucking them away in a collection maybe as desirable as driving it!

2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Transmission: automaticMileage:39000The Bentley Continental Supersports is an iconic grand tourer, which is renowned for its high-performance and ultimate luxury. It was the fastest production car ever produced by Bentley and sports a twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre W12 engine, which churns out 700 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque. This allows the car to sprint from 0-60mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 209mph. It features a sporty design with a low-slung aerodynamic body, 21€ wheels, and a retractable rear spoiler. Inside, the cabin is elegantly appointed with the finest leather, along with a host of luxury features such as massaging seats, and an entertainment system with a 15-speaker sound system. The Continental Supersports is a perfect blend of power, performance and luxury, which is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. This particular example is presented in the beautiful hue of Silver Tempest, a very classy and understated colour, which allows the car to fly under the radar. Its interior is  Beluga hide with contrasting Portland stitching throughout. In typical Bentley fashion, the interior has leather on almost every surface, with carbon fibre trim and Alcantara inserts on the seats and door cards. The headlining is made up mostly of Alcantara too, with the control panel being covered in Beluga hide. The cabin of any Bentley Continental really is one of the best places to spend time in a car and the cabin of a Supersports makes the experience even better. The car has a total of 11 stamps in the service book, with the first eight being carried out by Bentley main dealers. The car has a valid MoT test certificate until 4th February 2024, which was obtained without any advisories, so the car can continue being enjoyed by the next owner.Interested parties should note that this car is supplied with a photocopy of the current V5C registration document not an original.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, the power output for this vehicle is 621bhp, not 700bhp as noted in the description.

2000 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph Transmission: automaticMileage:40916Unveiled in March 1998, the Silver Seraph replaced the Silver Spur. All Seraphs were hand built at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England, which stopped making Rolls-Royce models in 2002 but continued with Bentley. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the U.K. and was powered by a 5.4 litre, aluminium alloy, BMW V12 engine making it the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. Standard electronics included digital engine management, adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes and, aside from the radiator grille, badges and wheels, the Rolls-Royce was externally identical to the contemporary Bentley Arnage sharing both its platform and bodyshell. Inside, the Silver Seraph and the Bentley Arnage were similar but quite distinct from one another. In the Seraph, the gear selector was column mounted, and the gauges followed a traditional Rolls-Royce layout (for example, there was no tachometer). In both cars, the seats and dashboard were upholstered in Connolly leather and glossy burr walnut veneer and featured folding picnic trays for rear passengers. This superb, later example of this truly luxurious model is presented in probably the best colour combination of Fountain Blue metallic with cream leather interior. It also has the white indicator lenses, front and rear parking sensors and 100mm extra leg room in the rear. The car has had three owners from new and the mileage is genuine, this is backed up by evidence of regular servicing by Bentley specialists (11 services altogether) with the last service being carried out in May 2022 at 40,287 miles. The car's interior is in excellent condition and it comes with four new Avon whitewall tyres, three sets of keys and satellite navigation. It also has carpet footrests to the rear, adjustable steering column/wheel, air conditioning, in car entertainment (radio/CD autochanger), seat lumber support and heated seats front and rear.

1990 Porsche 911 / 964 Carrera 2 Transmission: manualMileage:112150The 964 was produced between 1989 and 1994, and a standout car for its time which is possibly even more sought-after today. It has a sleek, modern look that is still recognisable and unique, which made it a very popular donor car for people choosing to build a backdated, or 'resto-mod' 911. The fact that so many 964's were used as the base for a 'resto-mod' build, means that very few un-modified examples remain, especially in rear wheel drive Carrera 2 guise. The 964 was the first 911 to be available with an all-wheel drive system and a special lightweight chassis that made it incredibly agile and capable of taking corners with ease. The engine was powerful and fuel efficient, making it a great choice for performance, or daily driving. It was also the first 911 to be fitted with an adjustable spoiler, which allowed the driver to adjust their aerodynamics and improve performance. This particular example is the 'holy grail' specification, being a non-sunroof, manual gearbox Carrera 2. This car is a C07 model, meaning it was originally delivered to Italy and was imported by our vendor in 2021 and is now showing just 112,000km (circa 69,000 miles). The original 'option' sticker is still visible on the underside of the bonnet, showing option codes 220 (locking differential) and 573 (air conditioning). Our vendor has recently fitted the Porsche classic communication system, meaning the car has Bluetooth & DAB radio but he has kept the original radio, should you wish to return the car to standard. This 911 was on the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) register, meaning it was verified to retain its original engine and specification. Additionally, this 911 is part of the Porsche classic UK register. The car comes with a good service history, with the most recent service having been completed in September 2021, just 9,000km ago. It was also treated to new brake discs and pads all round in 2022, at a cost of £2,090 in total. The values of 964's have rapidly increased in the past decade, now overtaking those of their younger siblings, the 993. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a completely standard, manual, coupé, non-sunroof, Carrera 2 and this example ticks all of the boxes. The car is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner and with Porsche celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023, there will be no shortage of events to attend with the car.

1999 Land Rover Defender 90 50th Anniversary Edition (2.8 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:269000The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin. This very rare right hand drive 50th Anniversary Edition was factory built in South Africa in 1999, there is a letter from Land Rover SA in history file confirming such, and was fitted with a BMW 2.8i six cylinder engine mated to a manual gearbox, which is superb according to the vendor. This vehicle was imported into the UK in 2016 and was subsequently restored. Only 26 of these limited edition 50th Anniversary models were made for South Africa and we understand that very few can be found in the UK. This is a wonderful edition with the smooth, powerful and reliable BMW engine, presented in its original colour combination of blue with black interior. A truly great workhorse ready to be used as it was built for.

1952 Jaguar XK120 Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:9620The Jaguar XK120 was manufactured between 1948 and 1954 and was their first sports car since the SS100 which ceased production in 1940. It was launched in roadster form at the 1948 London Motor Show as a show car for the new Jaguar XK engine. It caused a sensation thus persuading Jaguar founder and design boss William Lyons to put the car into production. The '120' in its name referred to its top speed which made the XK120 the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. It was available in two open versions; first as the roadster, then as a drophead coupé from 1953 and also as a closed, or 'fixedhead' coupé from 1951. With alloy cylinder head and twin side-draft SU carburettors, the double overhead-camshaft 3.4 litre straight six XK engine was comparatively advanced for a mass-produced unit of the time. With a standard compression ratio of 8:1 it developed 160bhp. This same basic design of the XK engine, later modified into 3.8 litre and 4.2 litre versions, survived into the late 1980s.This beautiful 1952 Jaguar XK120 Roadster is a 1952 car and said to be sixth from last of the chrome sidelight models. It presents wonderfully in the classic colour combination of Old English White with a red leather interior. We are informed that earlier works included the fitting of telescopic shock absorbers and the rebuilding of the rear axle with a power lock differential and the fitting of a Kenlowe electric fan. The brakes were upgraded to XJ6 disc brakes to the front and XK150 rear disc brakes. The engine is a 3.8 litre straight-six example from a Jaguar Mk. IX to fast road specification and features twin SU carburettors. The gearbox is a five speed Getrag example. Although this very usable XK120 performed well on a recent test drive it does appear to have a number of rubber suspension bushes and gaiters that are perished and will require replacing. Inspection of this vehicle is encouraged.Interested parties should note the cherished number plate does not come with this car.

1949 Land Rover Series I 80€ Transmission: manualMileage:196The Land Rover Series I is an iconic off-road vehicle that was first introduced in 1948. It was designed by Maurice Wilks, the chief designer of the Rover car company, who was inspired by the World War II Willys Jeep. The Series I was built with simplicity and functionality in mind, which made it a reliable and versatile workhorse in rural areas and on rough terrain. The Land Rover Series I was available in three body styles: a soft top, a hardtop, and a pick-up truck. It was powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine which produced 50 horsepower, which may not sound like much by today's standards, but it was more than enough to get the Series I through tough terrain. The Series I was not only popular in rural areas but also gained popularity in the military and among explorers. Its ruggedness, durability, and off-road capabilities made it the perfect vehicle for expeditions to remote areas. Today, the Land Rover Series I is a collector's item, and enthusiasts continue to appreciate its unique design and impressive capabilities. This particular example is an early 'lights behind grille' example and is presented in the lesser seen hue of Sage Green. Sage Green was the standard colour for early Land Rover's, until the first military orders came in late 1949, which meant the standard colour became the far more commonly seen Bronze Green. This example was built on 11th May 1949 and was shipped to Champion Motorcars, Adelaide, Australia. It then spent the vast majority of its life in the wonderful dry climate of Coober Pedy, Southern Australia, known for its opal mining, which would have no doubt meant the chassis and body remained in fantastic condition.A full restoration took place in 2018 and has been completed to an exceedingly high standard in Australia. This Land Rover could easily pass as a two or three year old car, it doesn't look at all like the 74 year old vehicle it is. The brakes have recently been overhauled and this Series I is ready to take on the show scene this summer.

1973 MG B Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:34284Conceived in the late 1950s and launched in 1962, the MGB would turn out to be one of the most successful sports cars of all time. Attractively styled, cheap to run and easily maintained by the home mechanic, the 'B' carried on MG's traditional role of providing affordable, sports car motoring for the ordinary enthusiast. The MGB was mechanically similar to the preceding MGA, though with a heavier, unitary construction bodyshell. To compensate for the newcomer's increased weight the existing B-Series engine was stretched from 1,622 to 1,798cc, while the MGB's aerodynamically efficient lines made the most of the maximum available 95bhp to achieve a top speed which just bested the magic 'ton'. A 'right first time' design that changed little over the years apart from the adoption of a more robust five-main-bearing engine in 1965 (fitted from the start of GT production that autumn) a minor facelift for 1970 and the adoption of plastic bumpers (to comply with US legislation) for 1975, the 'B' enjoyed an 18 year production life and sales totalling in excess of 500,000 cars. Its popularity remaining undiminished today, the classic MGB is one of the easiest sports cars of its era to run and maintain in the 21st Century, being served by a worldwide industry of spare parts and service providers. This lovely example is presented in dark blue with tan leather interior. It was purchased by the present owner in 2018 and he has had the car serviced every year since, keeping it garaged all the time also. He fitted a new DAB stereo with Bluetooth connection and has made sure the car has had a MoT test certificate every year, with the current MoT test certificate expiring in September 2023. Its gleaming dark blue paint is in good condition as is its black hood. The original interior has been upgraded to walnut dashboard and centre console, tan leather seats and central armrest and there is a chrome luggage rack mounted on the boot lid. Its 1800cc engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox with overdrive, which makes for great touring ability. A pretty British sports car which never loses appeal.

1974 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:126000The Triumph TR6 was produced between 1969 and 1976 and, by the time production ended in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. In total 94,619 TR6s were manufactured of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission and an optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable feature because it gave drivers close-gearing for spirited driving whilst remaining an excellent touring car for open motorways. It also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was provided by disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes.First registered on 4th April 1974 to a Mr. Pickering from Alnwick, this beautiful Mimosa Yellow TR6 was a UK home market supplied vehicle, which included the overdrive gearbox option from new. Purchased in 2006 by a Mr. Webster in Derby who ran the car until he began what developed into a comprehensive bodywork, engine and chassis restoration spanning several years. When the current owner, in Buckinghamshire, purchased the car in 2017 the expenditure didn't stop there. They have continued the sympathetic restoration which has included LED bulbs, re-chromed bumpers, ceramic coated exhaust manifold, complete new interior/door card, new seats, fuel pump and fuel line, electronic ignition, polyurethane bushes, high torque starter, refurbished inlet manifold and injectors, Oak Burr dash and wood door cappings and tonneau cover.Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, this MoT exempt sportscar is a genuine, privately owned, honest and useable classic. This TR6 represents fabulous value for money and would make an ideal addition to any collection or a perfect starting place for any classic car enthusiast. This Triumph has been garaged and exercised regularly, various bills of maintenance work, old MoT test certificates and many receipts can be found in the history file which includes a full service history until 57,775 miles, all stamped in the Triumph Passport book.

1968 Datsun Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:The Datsun 520 was built from May 1965 until May 1968, when it was facelifted and became the 521. The 420 designation, which was next in sequence, was skipped as it is a homophone for the Japanese word for rudeness or impolite (see Japanese wordplay). For 1967, the 520 was slightly redesigned and received quad headlights (two per side). This design was carried on until the end of 520 production. A grille emblem was added in 1966 and simply said D. In late 1967 a slightly altered model appeared, now with a slightly changed chrome grille with a distinct frame. In 1967, Nissan added the Nissan Sunny Pick-up truck, which was exclusive to Nissan Saito Store locations, which closely shared the dimensions, engine displacement and load carrying duties of the 520 series truck. The 521 was the facelifted version of 520, with a so-called 'flat-deck' style. This meant a flattened bonnet and front fenders as well as a new grille design. The 520 strongly resembles a Datsun 410/411 from the front, since it shares most sheet metal with that car. The bumper emblems said Datsun 1300, Datsun 1500 or Datsun 1600, depending on engine fitment. It was manufactured from June 1968 until 1972, preceded by the 520 and followed by the 620. The 521 was the first compact half-ton Pick-up sold in the American market. In 1968, larger load carrying duties were now shared with the Datsun Cabstar, a cabover truck sharing a chassis with the third generation Nissan Junior. This well looked after example of this rare model is presented in green with a black interior and comes with air conditioning which is a massive benefit. Its paintwork is in very good condition as is the interior of this little Pick-up which also comes with two sets of wheels (the originals are separate but included in the sale). A rare, practical, useful little run-around that is offered without reserve.Buyers, please note that this car was running and driving upon arrival at the auction on April 3rd. It would appear that it has since developed an issue which is thought to be a blown head gasket, but further investigation will be needed to confirm. therefore, the car is now being sold as a non-runner and will need to be towed away from the auction.

1970 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible by Karmann Transmission: manualMileage:14382In 1948, Wilhelm Karmann bought a standard Beetle and converted it into a four-seater convertible. After successfully presenting it at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Karmann began production of the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet in 1949. After a number of stylistic and technical alterations made to it, the last of 331,847 cabriolets came off the conveyor belt on 10th January 1980, bringing with it the end of an era. In 1971, alongside continued production of the standard Beetle, a variant which featured Macpherson strut front suspension and a re-designed front end was introduced which was officially known and marketed in Europe as the 'VW 1302' from 1971 to 1972, and 'VW 1303' from 1973 onwards. The VW Beetle has seduced many a first time buyer, collector and classic car enthusiast. And for obvious reasons; the parts network is comprehensive and inexpensive, the ability to convert the base model into many different variants was always available and the cost of the car itself presented a gateway into classic car ownership. This lovely, right hand drive, 1970 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible by Karmann has been the subject to a full rebuild some time ago. This included fitting new chassis rails, floors, door skins and quarter panels. The engine was sent to a Volkswagen engine specialists who's instruction was to rebuild the engine with the emphasis on making it as robust as possible, rather than high performance. It was rebored out to 1776cc, fitted with a lightened flywheel, external oil filter and oil cooler, twin Weber carburettors, electronic ignition and stainless steel exhaust system. At the same time the black interior was replaced, and the body colour changed from blue to orange. According to the vendor this Volkswagen Beetle has been rebuilt for reliability and is capable of maintaining good speeds on motorways. The 1970 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible by Karmann is a timeless classic that continues to capture the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world. Its unique design, simplicity, and reliability have made it one of the most beloved cars of all time.

1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:46028The 560 SL convertible was the latest in Mercedes-Benz's long and much loved line of luxury sports cars. Launched in 1983 it could trace its lineage back to the 230 SL of 1963. The 560 SL was powered by a 5.5 litre, overhead camshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220kmh with 100kmh reachable in around eight seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of anti-dive, anti-squat rear suspension, a limited slip differential and revised steering geometry. The 560 SL has a high level of standard equipment, including leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, an anti-theft alarm system, stereo radio/cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and an improved climate control system. This flagship Mercedes-Benz R107 is presented in red with matching hardtop and contrasting magnolia leather trim and hood. It was essentially a 'runout special', an effort to sell off the last SZ-style bodies before the introduction of the Arnage. Whilst all these cars were coachbuilt, the factory produced a few specially equipped Mulliner versions of the RT which featured a variety of custom options which made the Mulliner cars even more impressive. This wonderful example has been in its current ownership for over 15 years and has had just two previous owners from new. Acquired by our vendor with 32,666 recorded miles, this Bentley comes to the market with almost all the available Mulliner options such as wing vents, laser cut grille, big bore exhaust tip, picnic tables, extended wheel spacers and studs, upgraded anti-roll bars, chrome instrument bezels, chrome sports gear lever and 18€ wheels. These Mulliner options make this car really stand out when compared to other RTs. The car is equipped with a CTEK battery conditioning connection and is offered with a fitted car cover with Bentley motif.  Presented in striking Red Pearl coachwork with Sandstone leather interior which is complemented by red St. James piping and embossed headrests with lambswool over rugs and piano black interior trim. This Bentley has been maintained regardless of cost by various Bentley specialists, Balmoral, Phantom Motor Cars and Autofficina and is supplied with full toolkits, service history and original booklets, and a Parrot handsfree phone kit. After a long period of happy ownership and now with a recorded milage of 59,623, this RT is being offered for sale from a private collection, having little mileage in recent years due to the ill health of the vendor. 1934 Austin 'Speedex' Special Transmission: manualMileage:In Les Brown's 2017-published 'Special Obsessions' book the author outlined 15 reasons for the rise of the special in post-war Britain: 'Inventiveness', 'Practical Skills' and 'Surplus Parts' are some of the dozen-plus reasons why the specials movement took off, and then led to some suppliers and builders going on to greater things. One such was Jem Marsh, founder of Speedex and who later founded Marcos Cars. Today's classic scene has fully embraced the specials' movement, with many cars being resurrected in recent years for trialling, sprinting and racing events. For anyone looking for such a car this example offers an accurate snapshot of what a special should be. It is presented in polished aluminium with a black interior and comes with its original green logbook and the last three MoT test certificates. This pretty, agile and fun British sports car is powered by a 750cc engine and has twin SU carburettors and an LRM racing head. It comes also with an original Speedex parts book, Speedex information pack, Austin Seven handbook and a 2002 750 Motor Club bulletin showing Jem Marsh at the wheel of one of his Speedex cars. It should be noted that the car has an oil leak and water drips slightly from the water pump when the engine is running and it has not been driven on the road for some 20 years as this was to be predominantly a racing car. Please also note that this car will have to be taken from the Auction by trailer as the car will need to be re commissioned.

1989 Maserati Karif Transmission: manualMileage:24900The Karif or Tipo AM339 is a luxury coupé produced by Maserati between 1988 and 1991. Designed to mix luxury with sporty looks and agile handling, the Karif was announced with a limited production run of 255 examples. This is exactly what modern manufacturers do now and with great success, however only 221 Karifs were sold with late cars being sold long after this build date. Built on the same shortened chassis as the Zagato-bodied Maserati Spyder, they added a fixed notchback roof and used a more powerful iteration of their 'Biturbo engine', a 2.9 litre V6, giving around 260bhp. Reviewed in the motoring press at the time as having 'sawn off looks, shotgun performance'.Registered new on 3rd August 1989, this wonderful example presents in very good condition throughout and is a bit more special than the standard model, being one of just 25 right hand drive examples. Presented in Swan White coachwork over a blue leather and Alcantara interior the Karif looks superb. The paintwork retains a deep shine with very few blemishes to show and the interior is in excellent condition. Treated to much maintenance work over the years the history file includes receipts amounting to over £10,300. Fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust system the Maserati is reported to drive very well indeed by the current vendor. With just four owners from new this wonderful example comes complete with a comprehensive history file dating back to new. Offered with its original service booklet, many old MoT test certificates, sundry invoices, maintenance bills, the current V5 registration document, and an MoT test certificate valid until November 2023. 2006 BMW M6 Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:95800The first generation M6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant, aggressive 'shark-nose' styling, luxury equipment and performance. A top speed of 158mph made the European M635CSi the second fastest BMW ever built, next to the M1. The new BMW M6 Concept made its debut at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It shared the same 5.0 litre, V10 engine and SMG III gearbox as the E60 M5 and produced 500bhp. BMW claimed it accelerated from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. In February 2006, Road and Track measured the 0-60mph time as 4.1 seconds. 2000 Bentley Arnage Red Label Transmission: automaticMileage:81650Launched in 1998, the Arnage was manufactured in Crewe from 1998 to 2009 with its Rolls-Royce sibling, the Silver Seraph. They were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The new Arnage (Green Label) was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered, twin-turbo chargers and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The Arnage Red Label was launched in October 1999 with the engine reverting back to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine and a displacement of 6750cc. As part of the modification process, both Red and Green Label cars benefitted from expanded leg room in the cabin, stiffer bodyshells and larger wheels and brakes.First registered on 2nd October 2000 and supplied by Jack Barclay, this impressive example has been in 'Bentley enthusiast' ownership for much of its life. The history file for this Arnage contains bills and receipts for servicing, the most recent with specialist Danny Wilcox of DEW services in the summer of 2022. 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Transmission: automaticMileage:78227The Silver Shadow broke new ground for the Crewe Company in a number of key areas, from the sophisticated fully independent suspension with an advanced self-levelling system to four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The only major components carried over from the Silver Cloud III was the excellent, all aluminium, 6.2 litre V8 and four-speed automatic transmission with fluid flywheel, the latter replaced by GM's excellent 400 three-speed box in October 1968 while the engine was enlarged to 6.75 litres the following year. Although no power output was ever divulged by the company, merely described as 'adequate', the Silver Shadow's superior aerodynamics meant the car was perfectly happy cruising the motorways. No less than eight individual Connolly hides were used to trim the interior of each car and the standard of finish on the upholstery, rich Wilton carpets and burr walnut veneers was impeccable. Each Silver Shadow employed 20 electric motors, powering everything from the radio antenna to adjusting the individual front seats. Build quality on the Silver Shadow remained unsurpassed, each taking no less than 12 weeks to build from start to finish.First registered on 1st February 1980 this Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was sold originally by H.A.Fox Ltd in Torquay, this example was specified in its current colours of Willow Gold with Magnolia Hide. Any Rolls-Royce regardless of value, carries with it a significant cost of ownership, one that if scrimped upon is detrimental to the car, so it is refreshing to find within the history file, significant bills for servicing and maintenance. The all-important full brake rebuild was carried out in 2018 at 77,000 miles and the car was last serviced in August 2022 at 77,701 miles. Clearly this has been a very well cared for example throughout its life, the original service books are present and are well stamped, a total of 21 stamps in total can be found including four on the back page of the completed book. The history and work carried out to this Rolls-Royce amounts to an impressive care of ownership. The car is not to be confused with lesser or more poorly maintained examples; this is a delightful Silver Shadow II and still provides a wonderfully luxurious ride.

1965 Saab 96 Transmission: manualMileage:The Saab 96 was manufactured and marketed from 1960 to January 1980, replacing the 93. The 96 featured aerodynamic two-door bodywork, four passenger seating and at first a two-stroke, three-cylinder engine, later a four-stroke V4. The front end was lengthened for 1965 models, in preparation for a new engine, and the radiator was placed ahead of the engine rather than above and behind, a leftover from the thermosiphon cooling days. Both front and rear windows were enlarged slightly for 1968 models. The Saab 96 was driven most famously by Erik Carlsson in many international rallies, coming first in the 1960, 1961 and 1962 RAC Rallies and first in the 1962 and 1963 Monte Carlo Rallies. It was these successive, top-level victories that put the Saab 96 'on the map' and established its reputation for reliability and toughness. Carlsson also competed in the East African Safari Rally.Famous rallying names such as Simo Lampinen, Per Eklund, Pat Moss-Carlsson, Tom Trana, Stig Blomqvist and Carl Orrenius have also been connected with the Saab 96.This rare, left hand drive two-stroke, three-cylinder example is presented in blue with two-tone blue interior. The XJS was last produced on 4th April 1996, by which time 115,413 had been produced during a 21 year production life. The car was re-engineered in May 1991 and renamed 'XJS' (facelift). The rear side windows appeared enlarged and the buttresses stayed, although their appearance was minimised by the new side window treatment, as designer Geoff Lawson argued that they were part of the car's character. The car received a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ16 engine, at the same time, the car benefitted from a revision to the rear brakes; they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. It also received more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. This example is presented in Flamenco Red with a white coachline and has a cream leather interior. The car has just had a new headlining fitted by Ultimate Cats, Edgeware in 2021 who also serviced the car in February 2023. The R107 took the chassis components of the mid-size W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the S-Class (W116). The SL variant was a two seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top, hardtop and optional foldable seats for the rear bench. Volume production of the first R107 car, the 350 SL, started in April 1971 alongside the last of the W113 cars. This Mercedes-Benz 500 SL is a fine example of a classic sports car. Fitted with the superb five litre V8 engine, we are informed the drive is effortless and listening to the 'purr' of the engine enhances the enjoyment of owning such a vehicle. Finished in light metallic blue with contrasting interior and with the desirable hardtop, this car is supplied with a V5C registration document and MoT test certificate valid until December 2023. This fine example can be enjoyed immediately and is ready for the coming summer months.
