Advertising original vintage poster Burmeister & Wain Diesel Engine Type V23H. This engine was launched by the company in 1969. Burmeister & Wain was a large established Danish shipyard and leading diesel engine producer headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded by two Danes and an Englishman, its earliest roots stretch back to 1846. Over its 150-year history, it grew successfully into a strong company through the end of the 1960s. In the 1970s, global competitive pressures, particularly from the far east, began to take their toll. In 1980, B&W became MAN B&W Diesel A/S, part of MAN B&W Diesel Group, a subsidiary of the German corporation MAN AG, with operations worldwide. The company still maintains operations at three main sites in Denmark for manufacturing, servicing, and licensing of its two-stroke engines and complete propulsion systems. Original vintage aviation poster depicting a cutout cutof of Lufthansa Junkers Ju 52 airplane named Bolcke. The posters was published in Nazi Germany and the plane bears a swastika on it's tale. The Junkers Ju 52/3m (nicknamed Tante Ju ("Aunt Ju") and Iron Annie) is a German trimotor transport aircraft manufactured from 1931 to 1952. Initially designed with a single engine but subsequently produced as a trimotor, it saw both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. In a civilian role, it flew with over twelve air carriers including Swissair and Deutsche Luft Hansa as an airliner and freight hauler. In a military role, it flew with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and briefly as a medium bomber. The Ju 52 continued in postwar service with military and civilian air fleets well into the 1980s. Poor condition, creases, tears, paper separation and loss, backed on old linen. Eisenhower (1890-1969). Trans World Airlines was founded as Western Air Express in 1918 and became one of the largest American airlines after the US flag carrier Pan Am; in 2001 the company was declared bankrupt and acquired by American Airlines.
