Of freelance design, scratch built scale model of a 'Hit and Miss' petrol engine, the model uses a buzz coil as an ignition source, and is water cooled, via a brass and copper tank, an auxillary tank has been added to monitor the internal fuel levels, the engine powers 2 heavy spoked 6.5 inch flywheels, the model is engineered and finished with a dark green engine and maroon flywheels, free running and mounted on wooden base, max height 10 3/4 inches, length 11 inches, very nice example in clean order with all expected fittings for this type of engine

From Tubal Cain designs, a well engineered Princess Royal and Goliath stationary twin cylinder mill engine, of horizontal formation comprising of twin opposing cylinders with central steam/compressed air take off point, of brass and gun metal construction the model powers a heavy spoked 7 inch flywheel and is fitted with slip eccentric and a working ball governor, all housed on a wooden base with brass plaque to read 'Prickwillow Drainage Museum 2003', finished to an excellent standard in free running order, with details including stanchion rails
From G Gentry and OM Smith later revised drawings, a finely constructed scale model of a ME beam engine, of typical construction with simple cast upright cylinder with Watts parallel motion, to power a large 9 inch spoked flywheel with additional small 3 inch spoked take off wheel to the opposite side, fitted with a working ball governor and hand operated draincocks, the model is free running and finished in dark green, and is fully housed upon a deep wooden base, very well engineered example, base to measure 17"x8"x3" Condition Report / Extra Information Stroke of 6.5cm exactly
As taken from Edgar T Westbury 'Seagull' designs and later adapted, a scratch built model of a 10cc petrol engine, of twin cylinder, four stroke construction with side valve specification, with later fitted components, all housed on wooden base with copies of model engineer from 1950 onwards, used condition, requires cleaning
Steam plant comprising a GT horizontal mill type engine of 1 inch bore, 1½ inch stroke lagged cylinder, 6 inch heavy spoked flywheel, slip eccentric to steam valves, 3 groove pulley with reduction drive to a dynamo with feed to an ornate street lamp. Power supplied from vertical clad boiler (21 inches to chimney top), with Stuart type displacement lubricator on steam supply. Usual boiler filling gas and gas supply inlet valved connector. Lever hand water pump fed from steel water holding tank. All on chequered finish hardwood base on brass feet.
Gas fired horizontal steam plant accessories suitable for finishing/re-assembly, the lot comprises of a horizontal gas fired mill engine, with single cylinder powering a heavy 4" fly wheel, finished to a good standard with easy access to intake and oil chamber/valves. Sold with a large horizontal copper and brass boiler raised on brick work plinth, finished to a good standard with expected fittings, and is accompanied with a large electric dynamo with light fitting and a brass and copper water tank.
Finely built 1 inch scale live steam Burrell scenic Showmans engine, with a single crank compound cylinders, 2 dynamos, 2 deep water belly tanks and worm link steering. Named "Victory" with tin canopy supported on spiralled brass columns for additional detailing. No sliding roof for access to back head fittings, but fittings are as expected. The engine is finished in deep maroon with yellow spoked wheels, livery to read C. Thurstons Scenic Gondolas, fitted with road tyres that are heavily perished. Overall of good construction, no boiler history, appears to have been used for display rather than use
Ernst Plank, Germany, rare steam plant comprising twin cylinder table engine with integral boiler, the twin vertical fixed cylinders are mounted on a cast, half 'A' frame with steam chest between them, the attached entablature is also supported by 2 turned pillars and has a dummy capstan type reversing wheel, a gallery rail, and two stepladders. The cylinders drive a crankshaft with 3.5 inch flywheel and slip eccentrics to valve rods, crankshaft bearings both have lubricators. Steam is supplied from a horizontal brass boiler on steel plinth, usual fittings and large 2 wick vapourising burner, looks original, with some repairs. Tall chimney, all on tinplate base. A tin condenser marked Sphinx has been added as has a cast hand water pump. EP oval plaque on boiler plinth. Base 12"x 15.25". 18.5" to chimney top. Doll made a very similar plant circa 1920. Pressure gauge is marked EP on our model. This style of engine is rarely seen and appears complete. Engine in very good condition. The base and boiler are fair, chimney is good for age.
Radiquet and Massiot, pre 1905 28" gunboat, having zinc painted hull, varnished faux plank deck of mahogany, single oscillating engine powered by a typical brass boiler with copper dome, whistle, filler cap and painted chimney. Vessel has two masts (not original, painted white, engine hatchway has a fine pierced gallery, as expected). Boiler has hand rails each side and is in fine condition. There are three deck mounted brass cannons, one at prow, two at stern, a possibly original adjustable rudders and 2 wooden hatchway covers with faux windows, possibly replacements. Chain wales are paired on each side as are two anchors but may not be original. There is a fine cast figure head at the prow probably original. Model has a 4 blade screw copper painted, and is presented on a modern hardwood boatstand. Overall a good restoration of an extremely rare model.
An early 20th century aero engine formerly in the possession of, and probably made by, former renowned RAF plot Stanley Wise, founder of the Wise Time Clock Company of Portsmouth. The engine is a twin V 90° opposed cylinders each with push rod valve actuation. A brass fuel tank is mounted behind the engine and feeds a caburetor centrally suspended from the split inlet piping a 2 blade mahogany air screw is fitted, all mounted on a bakelite display base. Engine appears un-run for a long period. Sold with 2 crayon and charcoal caricature sketches of the pilot and an envelope containing more paper ephemera relating to his clockmaking activities and photographs of the model with him and his clocks Condition Report / Extra Information Base measures 14 x 14cm Airscrew is 29.5cm Height is 18cm
