Los 1594

1934 Morgan three wheeler Super Sports, registration number ACE 473, with V5c. Purchased by the vendor's late father who undertook a comprehensive restoration, and as an ex RAF fast jet engineer much attention to detail has been taken. He became good friends of Peter Morgan who was kind enough to supply plans for the ash frame. In the 1960's it was a racer known as Conquest and fitted with a Ford 10 engine at the time, in the late owner's custodianship it first had a JAP DTZ engine fitted until he had fully rebuilt the MX2 engine now installed, the vendor reports it also had a new worm and pinion. When at a show the vendor's late father was a approached by the previous owner who had had it as Conquest in the 1960's, who told him the gearbox had been converted to synchromesh at British Leyland, and that he even took the car on his honeymoon. The car has hydraulic brakes and both foot and hand throttles. The vendor believes there may be some more paperwork amongst his father's effects but has not come across anything as yet - anything found will of course be forwarded to the new owner.10%+VAT buyer's premium on this lot
