1965 Humber Imperial Registration Number: PTJ 931C Date Of First Registration: 24/08/1965 Vin Number: 84300876BWHSO Engine Number: 843008776BWHSO MOT Expiry: No Current MOT V5C Present Listing: 4 Former Keepers Current Mileage Shown: 52,312 miles 2965 CC Maroon The Humber Super Snipe was built in Britain between 1938 and 1967. In 1964 the Rootes group revived the Humber Imperial name for its top of the range Humber Super Snipe. The car had vinyl clad roof and automatic transmission fitted as standard. Along with a luxuriously appointed interior featuring fully reclining front seats and separately controlled rear passenger heater. The model also featured electrically adjustable rear shock absorbers to aid ride comfort. Limited numbers were built and it is thought perhaps around 40-50 examples still exist in various states of repair. This maroon example paint code 70 body number SSSH 52312 by Thrupp and Maberly Ltd of London has in recent years benefited from a considerable amount of work to both the engine, mechanicals and body-work (see condition report for invoices present). Fitted with badge/light bar with driving lamp and fog lamp. Although from a distance the vehicle looks very tidy it will require some work to bring it up to standard. The last MOT test carried out in 2015 showed no advisories and expired in August 2016. Supplied with a folder containing recent invoices. Not running. Buyer's premium of 10% (+VAT) applies to this lot The body-work of the vehicle appears to be generally good and presents to a reasonable standard with obvious signs of previous repair and body-filler present but no obvious signs of major corrosion. There are rust spots on some of the panels and the front windscreen appears to be incorrectly fitted at the o/s top edge which has led to water ingress. The vinyl roof appears to be in sound order. Side windows are loose and the seals are allowing water ingress hence all door bottoms are wet and the carpets are soaked/mouldy. Cloth interior in reasonable order, speaker cover loose on dash top and various loose/missing trim items. The engine bay is tidy. Front bumper is straight with good chrome. Rear bumper straight but has rust spots. Tow bar with twin electrics fitted. All tyres are Vredestein and all have good tread. Print out from Dvla detailing all four previous owners. 1960 Volkswagen Split Screen 23 Window Samba Restoration Project Registration Number: 394 GRR Date Of First Registration In The UK: 09/07/1960 Planned Date Of Manufacture: 18/05/1960 Vin Number: 611105 Engine Number Fitted: 5286507 MOT Expiry: No Current MOT Old Style V5 Present: Listing 2 keepers since Jan 78 Current Mileage Shown: Not Applicable The Volkswagen Type 2 as it was officially known was a forward control rear engine panel van introduced in 1950 by the German auto-maker. The Beetle was the first production Volkswagen and took the designation Type 1. The Split-Screen or Splitty as it is commonly referred to was available in many guises including the van, bus, camper, pick up, and crew cab pick up along with many other body types offered by third parties including ambulance and fire tender. One of the rarest of the Type 2's is the 23 window Samba also known in the states as the sunroof deluxe and was the most luxurious of the Split-Screens produced. Supplied from 1951 onwards and complete with fabric sunroof and two pivoting barn doors instead of the usual sliding type. The Samba was produced in two tone colour combinations with the two colours separated by aluminium decorative strips and also featured an extended section above the cab roof referred to as the hat to block the sun from the driver. In today's market fully restored 23 window Samba's regularly change hands for six figure sums. This particular 23 window Samba certainly has a few things going for it despite its current appearance. The vehicle still has its original vin plate attached to the right hand side of the engine bay and the original chassis number can still be seen in the engine bay. The original tag plate with the M-codes is also still present behind the drivers seat back which when decoded shows that the vehicle's planned production build date was May the 18 th 1960 and it is a model 244 Microbus Deluxe-8 seater-with cargo doors to the left-full middle seat and RHD. The tag M codes also reveal it was originally supplied to Ramsgate in the UK making it extremely rare. Originally supplied with the upper half in beige grey and the lower in sealing wax red with the interior door panels and seats originally in colour 77 blue/grey. The tag also reveals code 20-speedometer in miles per hour. Code 43 complies with Swiss regulations. Code 108 Westfalia camper conversion and finally code 543 no seats in cargo area. The vehicle was stripped by its current owner some years ago and has been stored in part form since. There is a substantial amount of parts supplied with the vehicle ready to be refurbished. This Rolls Royce is in fantastic order and must be seen to be appreciated. However there is a discrepancy with the vehicles mileage and it would appear that at least one of the servicing stamps has been altered. The car was showing 144492 miles when it was MOT tested 01/04/2009 but then showed 42505 at its next MOT 25/01/2010. Previous MOT results show the mileage to be high and so it must be presumed that the vehicles mileage has been altered in 2009. This has been taken in to account with the vehicles low estimate but the condition of the vehicle is fantastic. The engine management light is also illuminated and shows a brake pressure fault. The batteries will also not hold charge and will require replacement. The Rolls is supplied with its original book pack 2 x keys and receipts for servicing work totaling thousands of pounds (see the condition report for service information). Private Registration Number R5 PJY is included within the sale. The original speedometer stopped working at 01,015 miles in 1995 probably due to lack of use and was replaced with a used item showing around 34,500 miles which seems to indicate an overall mileage of less than 1,500 miles since it was built. The original failed speedometer is included in the sale. The vehicle has only been used for shows and to take Santa to the local Christmas light switch on. Our example from the period of mid-production features the tried and tested 1600cc engine and has been historically customised with updated interior, paint-work and graphics and sits on period Wolfrace split-rim alloy wheels. With custom-fitted sound system (not tested), this distinctive van could be used as an eye-catching trade vehicle or kept for show use. Off the road for some years (2004 - 2012), the vehicle will now require a new MOT prior to returning to the road again V5C. See illustration.

This car, number 501, benefits from a replacement engine and comes with a substantial history file with many bills and receipts and old MOT Certificates. V5C, MOT to January 2018. See illustration.

A 1971 MGBGT, registration number EHY 440K, chassis number GHD-5267324G, white. The MGB was introduced in 1962 initially as just a 2-seater roadster with a close-coupled GT arriving 3 years later providing more space for the family man. All cars (other than the V8 variant) came with the 1798cc B-Series engine producing 95bhp and the choice of 4-speed manual gearbox or optional Borg-Warner automatic. Professionally restored with a photographic record between March and September 1992, this example of a chrome-bumper GT started life as a Harvest Gold car but under-went a colour change to Glacier White at time of restoration. Over £9000 was spent. Purchased as a pristine example in March 2002 by the current owner, the car was parked-up after 2004 owing to ill health and has been sitting outside now for a period of years. However, it was running up until recently and the braking system has been fully overhauled in the past 2 years with new lines, slave cylinder, calipers and pads. For light restoration and re-commissioning, this MGB comes with a large history file including photographic records of restoration, many bills and receipts from the early 1990`s and recent receipts for the brake parts. V5C, no MOT. See illustration.

A 1960 Norton Dominator Model 99, registration YRK 260, chassis number R14/92193, black and cream. The twin-cylinder Dominator entered production in 1949 to directly compete against the Triumph Speed Twin and was developed by Bert Hopwood who himself had previously been on the Speed Twin design team. Introduced in 1956, the featherbed-framed Model 99 featured the larger 597cc alloy-headed engine developing 31bhp and came with alloy hubs and uprated brakes that had been a feature the previous year. Our Dominator has had just 2 keepers from new, with the current custodian acquiring the bike in 1997. Largely original, we understand that the bike starts and runs sweetly and comes with a history file and set of manuals. Green log-book, V5C, no MOT. See illustration.
