A very well made un-usual Scratchbuilt stationary steam engine comprising of a compound engine beside a simple expansion engine, fitted together powering the same crank shaft, constructed from brass, base metal and gun metal components, fitted with slip eccentric, raised on raised wooden base, with brass spoked flywheel, fitted with stanchion rails and ladder for effect, suitable for use on compressed air, free running with each access to steam and take off points
A Victorian silver castle top vinaigrette, Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1851, Warwick Castle, scrollwork frame with hinged cover enclosing pierced grille and gilt interior, with engine turned decoration to the sides and underside with vacant cartouche, 3.1cm wide, 11.6 grams (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Possible repair to the hinge - see the attached images, a couple of little pin dents, some minor surface scratching but overall in good order. please see the attached images for further clarification.
An 18ct gold George IV vinaigrette, Charles Rawlings, London 1826, hinged cover enclosing a pierced grille designed as a flower basket in bloom with gilt interior, externally decorated with engine turned detailing, 3.5cm wide, 16.8 grams CONDITION REPORT: Hinge closes well, grille hinge clean and closes well. No obvious splits, breaks or repairs, some minor surface scratching but overall in good, clean condition.

Made by Maxwell Hemmens Precision Steam Models, and supplied to Mervyn Miles Models, Gillingham, in 1983. With the original Boiler Test Certificate in 1983, and apparently unused. 56cms long
Tom McMurty NASA test pilot signed 33rd X24b Research Plane FDC dedicated to him. McMurtry joined the NASA Flight Research Center now NASA Armstrong in 1967 after service as a U.S. Navy pilot and with the Lockheed Corporation. He was a project pilot on some of the most significant flight research projects in the centers history during his 32-year tenure, including the AD-1 oblique wing project, the F-15 Digital Electronic Engine Control project, the KC-135 winglets study and the F-8 Supercritical Wing project for which he received NASAs Exceptional Service Medal. He also served as co-project pilot on a number of other flight research projects, including the F-8 Digital Fly-By-Wire project and the X-24B lifting body. McMurtry also flew one of the two modified NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, or SCA, that ferried space shuttles from Edwards Air Force Base California to Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Company of heroes by Robert Taylor print. In addition to the artist this magnificent edition is signed by Captain Rolland H. Whited Pilot of 34th Bomb Group B-17 Flying Fortress Queenie, Rolland Whited arrived in England with the 391st Bomb Squadron, 34th Bomb Group in April 1944. He flew his first combat mission on June 20th. A veteran of many heavy bombardment missions he flew on operations against Luftwaffe airfields, VI rocket sites, chemical plants and the railroad marshalling yards at Cologne and Ludwigshafen. After completing 26 missions on B-24s, the 34th re-equipped with B-17 Flying Fortresses. Rolland flew a further 8 missions on the B-17, flying his final mission in January 1945. He holds the Air Medal with three Oak Clusters in addition to the Distinguished Flying Cross. Also signed by Lieutenant Colonel Robert W. Dees assigned to the 4th and then 18th Squadron, 34th Bomb Group, Bob flew the South Atlantic route to Mendlesham, England in early 1944 and was soon in the thick of the action on operations against military and industrial targets in Germany and occupied Europe. He flew the first of his 31 combat missions on 24 May 1944, flying the B-24, before the 34th converted to B-17 Fortress on which he finished his tour. He had flown 31 combat missions, 14 of which were as lead crew pilot. Bob Dees was awarded the Air Medal with five Oak Clusters. In a painting packed with atmosphere and highly detailed content, this magnificent image not only brings to life the glorious Flying Fortresses of the USAAF, but also the lives of the brave young men who flew them, such as the two 34th Bomb Group skippers who signed each and every print. B-17s of the 34th Bomb Group returning to base after another gruelling daylight raid. Queenie, first home to Mendlesham today, has come to a standstill, the co-pilot already briefing the crew chief on the state of the aircraft. Meanwhile the last man home makes his final approach, streaming vapour from a badly overheating engine. Professionally framed and mounted to an overall size of approx. 42 x 31 inches.
