1964 Alvis TE21. Number 27207. Registration number BAE 567B. Alvis Cars started production in 1920 and over the years established a reputation for high quality engineering and superb hand-built coachwork. This TE21 Cabriolet maintains the Alvis theme of quality engineering with the body built by Mulliner Park Ward. Less than 100 of these hand built TE21 Cabriolet were built. The Alvis archive register indicates that number 27207 was dispatched on the 1st of December 1964 and first registered BAE 567B to G. B. Britton and Son, a Bristol footwear manufacturer. In 1975 The car was purchased by Robert M. Laughlin who took the car to America. In the mid 90s the car was taken to the British Marque expert in Bainbridge, Philadelphia for the car to be restored. Sadly, Robert Laughlin died before the restoration could be completed and the car was purchased back to the UK and the restoration completed with new leather work, carpets, hood, and chrome wire wheels. The car passed to John Cunningham who sent it to Red Triangle for the engine to be stripped down and rebuilt, bench-tested and refitted to the car. The extensive paperwork that comes with the car shows that Red Triangle also did a complete review of the whole car and undertook repairs to those items necessary to bring the car to its present high standard.
