A Heinrici hot air stationary engine, to the Edgar T. Westbury design, with power cylinder of 1 inch bore by 1 3/4 inch stroke, the engine now dismantled and the parts present comprising stand, engine base, piston, crank with side supports and two spoked flywheels, 51cm high when reconstructed.
A well engineered model of a James Beggs live-steam vertical bottle engine, built to Anthony Mount drawings with castings from Polly models, the bottle shape supporting a single cylinder lagged in planked mahogany of approximately 1 1/2 inch bore by 1 3/4 inch stroke, the eccentric driven steam valve with valve cover bearing brass plaque engraved `James Beggs & Co New York`, the 6 inch diameter spoked flywheel with bearing end support linked to the base with brass oiler cups to the sides, painted green and black with polished brightwork, on an oval mahogany plinth, overall 39cm high.
A well engineered horizontal internal combustion stationary engine, built by the late Mr L.O.Gibbs of Hailsham, of fabricated design the single, water-cooled cylinder with hopper, carburettor, spark plug, belt driven cam, vertical balanced crank with 19cm spoked flywheel and belt drive from a 12 volt engine starter, petrol tank, and light and power switch, painted red with polished aluminium brightwork, mounted on a plinth 42cm x 20cm, overall 28cm high.
