C.1940 New Hudson Autocycle, 98cc. Registration number not registered. Frame number not found. Engine number not found.George Patterson?s Hudson Company would produce a range of cycles during the 1800?s and the name New Hudson was registered in Birmingham in 1896. By 1913, motorcycle production was buoyant and New Hudson produced its own 2.75 motor and was also utilising the Armstrong three speed gearbox. The marque peaked in the mid 1920's, and by 1933 motorcycle production had ceased and that situation continued until just prior to WW2 when a new range of ?autocycle? arrived powered by 98cc Villiers units and supplied under the New Hudson name. Post war and BSA took over the brand but the New Hudson name continued with the ?autocycle? range offering budget transport with their base model available at under £50. Upgrades and restyling continued over the next decade but the basic 99cc single was the final motorbike to enjoy the New Hudson monocle; the final machines left Birmingham in 1957.This machine is an older restoration and has been on display in our vendors private museum for several years. It is now surplus to requirements. The is no paperwork with the machine and recommissioning will be required before use.

2008 Audi TT Quattro, 3,189cc. Registration number KU08 HCY. Chassis number TRUZZZ8JX81033873. Engine number BUB 045375.Audi debuted the second-generation TT, internal designation Type 8J, on 6 April 2006, using the Volkswagen Group A5 (PQ35) platform with aluminium front body panels, and steel in the rear, to enhance its near-neutral front-to-rear weight distribution. Available in front-wheel drive or 'quattro' four-wheel drive layout, the TT was offered as a 2+2 Coupé, and as a two-seater Roadster. The second generation was five inches longer and three inches wider than its predecessor. The powertrain options included 1.8 and 2.0 litre petrol engines, as well as a diesel. The 3.2-litre 'V6' badged VR6 engine was carried over from the previous generation. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with the six-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) as an option for all engines. Quattro on-demand four-wheel drive, again using the Haldex Traction clutch is available ? standard on V6 models.HCY was first registered in March 2008, then owned by Terence Norton of Runcorn from April 2009 until our deceased vendor purchased it from Audi Grimsby in May 2011for £19,995 with a mileage of 18,725 miles. MOT's on file take the mileage up to 24,748 in 2012, 31,042 in 2013, 36,625 in 2014 and 41,442 in 2015, also the time of its last service. It was then SORNed until delivered to our saleroom where Spicers have had it valeted and MOTed (it needed two wiper blades and a front suspension coil).Sold with the V5C, MOT from 25th August 2021, past MOT's, service receipts, and instruction books. Although the car has just passed its MOT, Spicers would recommend that any prospective purchaser has a full service undertaken due it being off the road for 6 years.
1954 Morris Minor, 1098cc. Registration number OUE 657. Chassis number FAJ-11/244273. Engine number IOMA-U-H 262789 (please note this has not been changed on the V5C).The post-war Morris Minor, one of Alec Issigonis?s first masterpieces, became nearly as iconic during its 23 years of production as its ostensible successor and sister icon, the Mini. Released in 1948, it used unitary construction and torsion bar front suspension, although some other novel features, like a flat four engine, never reached production.Exports to the United States began in 1949, which required raising the headlamps from their position in the grille in order to meet local legislation. This change was soon adopted across the board. Initially the line included both two- and four-door saloons, and a jaunty little tourer which commanded about a third of the market. After Morris merged with Austin to form the British Motor Corporation (BMC), a Series II Minor was introduced in 1952 with the 803 cc overhead valve Austin A-series engine from the A30. A ?Traveller? estate car, a van and a pickup were introduced at this time, built on a separate chassis frame.OUE has had only two owners since 1978, one being Peter Roger of Doncaster who bought it on the 8th December 1978 from Bromsgrove Street Motors of Birmingham for £395, receipt on file. In 1981 it underwent a large restoration that cost £1,330.88 at the Morris Minor Centre of Bath. Our vendor, a neighbour, bought it from him in 1990 and has garaged it ever since. Used occasionally it has lead a gentle life and at some point in his ownership the engine was upgraded to the current 1098cc version.Well maintained it is now being sold due to lack of use. Unused for the last three years, it started with ease and was driven the 20 miles to the saleroom.Sold with the V5C, V5, 1978 and 1981 receipts, this Minor appears to be a solid example that also has a rare heater fitted.
