A First World War laminated aeroplane propeller boss and three blades. The boss marked 275 H.P. Rolls.Royce; right-hand 5156; T1 5156; De H 4; A.B.686 R.H. D2850 P3600; The 275 horse power Rolls-Royce Eagle Mk.IV engine was fitted to the Airco DH.4 light bomber in service with The Royal Flying Corps. in World War 1 from 1917. The DH 4 was a single engined aircraft, but because of variations in the engines, some of them ran to the left and some to the right, the propellers needed to indicate which engines they went with, hence the "Right Hand"

Caroline Mary Elizabeth Morgan-Grenville. In turn her mother was the daughter of Richard Plantagenet Campbell Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos.
